Top 10 Best NHL Teams 2023 Rankings | NHL All-Star Weekend
Ranking the Top NHL Teams right now of the 2022-2023 season after the 2023 NHL All-Star Game

The National Hockey League seasons officially pass the halfway mark, with the All-Star weekend coming and passing. Some of these teams between 8 and 10 are floating around, but they are all in the same hunt. The teams at the top will most likely stay there, but here are the top 10 NHL teams in February.
Honorable Mention
Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights are still hanging on to their consistent play over these past few seasons. Bringing in Jack Eichel was a big gamble, no pun intended, and so far, it has been working out.
Chandler Stephenson has been the points producer for the Knights this regular season with 12 goals and 34 assists. The Knights are currently 30-18-4 on the season, duking it out with Seattle for number one in the Pacific.
Top 10 NHL Team Rankings 2023
10. New York Rangers
The New York Rangers have been one of the best teams in the Metropolitan Division after some seriously rough years.
They have become one of the most consistent teams off of the play of Igor Shesterkin, who is 21-8-7 on the season.
The Rangers are currently being led in points by Mika Zibanejad with 52 points. The Rangers are 28-14-8 on the season.
9. Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings are one of the strongest teams in the very weak Pacific Division this season. The Kings are the kind of the team I want to root for.
They didn’t do what San Jose or Vegas did through big trades, just great drafting, and underrated trades. The LA Kings are currently being led in points by Kevin Fiala with 53 points. The Kings currently sit third in their division with a record of 28-18-7.
8. Seattle Kraken
Where did the Seattle Kraken come from? Most fans wrote the Kraken off early after leaving some big names on the board during the expansion draft, but they haven’t had any troubles without those names this season.
Free agent Andre Burakovsky is currently leading the team with 39 points, but the real story is Matty Beniers, who has 36 points in 48 games this season. The Kraken are second in their division with a record of 29-16-5.
7. Winnipeg Jets
Remember when the Jets looked like the force of the Central after the Blackhawks fell off? Well, those Winnipeg Jets are back.
Kyle Connor is unsurprisingly leading the way points wise, but the real story is in the net. Connor Hellebuyck is 24-15-0 with a 2.45 GAA. The Jets are currently three points out of the top spot in the Central with a record of 32-19-1 for 65 points.
6. Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning are playing in a tough division this season, very tough, every team besides Montreal, is competitive nightly.
The bottom three teams are all .500, it is the top of the division where it goes insane with Boston and Toronto. Tampa is currently 32-16-2 for 66 points, being led on the stat sheet by Nikita Kucherov.
5. Dallas Stars
The leaders of the Central Division, the Dallas Stars are the team to beat with the Avalanche seemingly as more of a hospital than a hockey team.
The real storyline this season for the Stars has been the explosion of Jason Robertson as an elite NHL forward. Robertson currently has 33 goals and 34 assists for 67 points. The Stars themselves are 29-13-10 with 68 points.
4. New Jersey Devils
These are definitely your dads New Jersey Devils, fast and tough to play against. After years of floating at the bottom of the sink, the Devils drafting and smart signings are really starting to pay off for them.
The Devils are currently sitting 6 points behind the Hurricanes with 70 points in the Metro Division. Their current record is 33-13-4.
3. Toronto Maple Leafs
The Leafs are playing as well as to be expected for a team whose cap is made up of four players. Surprisingly, when it comes to points this season, Marner is leading the way this season.
So far, Marner has 60 points in 52 games, hoping he can keep that momentum in the offseason. The Leafs themselves are currently 31-13-8 on the season for 70 points and are a whopping 13 points behind the Bruins.
2. Carolina Hurricanes
The Hurricanes once again find themselves amongst the top of the NHL. Granted, the Metro is a little weaker than it has been in previous seasons.
There isn’t one singular leader leading the Canes in points this season, as the points are coming from up and down the lineup.
The Hurricanes have used three goalies this season as well, all with about a 2.46 GAA. The Canes are currently 34-9-8 for 76 points.
1. Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins are currently the best team in hockey. This team is playing at a whole other level from the goalie out.
Pasta is leading the team in points 38 goals and 34 assists for 72 points. Bringing back Krejci is paying off big time for the Bruins.
The big story is Linus Ullmark who is currently 26-4-0 on the season. The Bruins are currently 39-7-5 on the season for 83 points.
