The Top 10 Light Heavyweight Boxing Rankings sees a pathway to Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol after Beterbiev successfully defeats Callum Smith.

Honorable Mention

Mathieu Bauderlique

Mathieu Bauderlique is a French boxer, who also won a bronze medal in the 2016 Olympics. He has a professional record of 21 wins and 2 losses with his last bout against Callum Smith losing by KO.

Maxim Vlasov

Maxim Vlasov is a Russian professional boxer with a record of 46 wins and 5 losses. 

He competed at cruiserweight for most of his career, where he won multiple regional titles and was also challenged for the WBO interim cruiserweight title. After moving to light-heavyweight, he fought Joe Smith Jr. for the WBO light-heavyweight title but lost via MD.

Vlasov fought Dilmurod Satybaldiev in his most recent fight and did not come out to fight after the 6th round losing the fight via corner retirement. There is no announcement about his next fight yet.

Marcus Browne

Marcus Browne, an American boxer,  holds an impressive record of 25 wins and only 2 losses 

Browne won the vacant WBC USNBC light heavyweight title back in 2016, a few years later, in January of 2019, he defeated Badou Jack to become the  WBA interim and WBC Silver light heavyweight champion as well. 

He challenged Artur Beterbiev for the world light heavyweight title, however, he could not win losing by KO. Recently faced Adrian Taylor and won by unanimous decision. There is no announcement about his next fight.

Joe Smith Jr.

Joe Smith Jr. is an American professional boxer with a record of 28 wins and 5 losses. 

Smith is the former WBO light heavyweight champion of the world and has previously held the WBC International light heavyweight title as well. 

He challenged Artur Beterbiev for his unified title and had his own WBO title on the line as well. However, he lost the fight via TKO. He later faced Gilberto Ramirez and lost via Unanimous Decision.

Lyndon Arthur

Lyndon Arthur is a professional boxer from the UK, and he has a record of 23 wins and only 1 loss. 

Arthur is the current IBO light heavyweight champion, and has previously held the commonwealth and WBO Inter-Continental light-heavyweight titles.

Arthur won the IBO title after defeating Braian Nahuel Suarez via knockout but later lost the title after challenging for the WBA Light Heavyweight Super Title facing Dmitrii Bivol.

Igor Mikhalkin

Igor Mikhalkin is a professional boxer from Russia, and he has a record of 25 wins and 3 losses. 

Mikhalkin is the former  IBO light-heavyweight world champion, and he has held multiple regional titles as well, like the European and WBO Inter-Continental light-heavyweight titles

In his most recent fight, he defeated Dilmurod Satybaldiev, and his next fight has not been announced yet.

Izmailov is the current and two-time IBF USBA Light Heavyweight world champion. In his most recent fight, he defeated Charles Foster via Unanimous decision, and as of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

Next up, we have Michael Eifert, A German boxer with a professional record of 12 wins and 1 loss. 

Eifert is the former IBF Inter-Continental Light Heavyweight world champion and has held the unified WBC and IBF Youth Light Heavyweight titles. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated Jean Pascal via Unanimous decision, and as of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

8. Oleksandr Gvozdyk

Oleksandr Gvozdyk is a Ukrainian professional boxer with a professional record of 20 wins and 1 loss.

He is the former WBC light-heavyweight champion and has held multiple regional titles as well. He also challenged Artur Beterbiev for the IBF title but came up short. 

Gvozdyk is currently on a 3 fight-winning streak, and in his most recent fight, he defeated Isaac Rodrigues via KO. As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

7. Dan Azeez

Dan Azeez is a British professional boxer and he has an undefeated record of 20 wins and 0 losses.

In his most recent fight, he defeated Khalid Graidia via Decision, and he is scheduled to fight against Joshua Buatsi for his next fight, with the British and Commonwealth light heavyweight titles on the line.

6. Joshua Buatsi

Joshua Buatsi is a British professional boxer who was born in Ghana. He has an undefeated record with 17 wins and no losses. 

As an amateur, he won a bronze medal in the 2012 Olympics and has been competing as a professional since 2017. He is also the former WBA International light-heavyweight champion and British Light-heavyweight champion. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated Pawel Stepian via UD, and he is scheduled to fight Dan Azeez for the British and Commonwealth light heavyweight titles.

5. Anthony Yarde

Anthony Yarde is a British boxer, with a professional record of 24 wins and 3 losses. 

He is the former WBO Inter-Continental light-heavyweight champion and challenged Sergey Kovalev for the WBO light heavyweight championship as well. He also won the Commonwealth and WBO Inter-Continental light-heavyweight titles recently. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated Jorge Silva by 2nd-round knockout, and there is no official announcement about his next fight.

4. Gilberto Ramirez

Gilberto Ramírez Sánchez is a Mexican professional boxer, and he has an extensive undefeated record with 44 victories and 1 loss. 

He is the former WBO super middleweight world champion, winning the title in 2016 and defending it 5 times before moving to light heavyweight. He has held the NABF title at light heavyweight and even fought Dimitry Bivol for the WBA (Super) Light-Heavyweight title. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated Joe Smith Jr. via Unanimous Decision, and there is no official announcement about his next fight as of now.

3. Callum Smith

Callum Smith is a British professional boxer, with a record of 29 wins and 2 losses, with 21 knockouts. 

Callam Smith competed at super middleweight for most of his career and became the unified WBA and the ring super middleweight champion. However, after defending the titles twice, he lost them to Canello Alveraz. 

Smith moved to Light-heavyweight. After winning a couple of fights, he faced Artur Beterbiev for the Unified WBC, WBO, and IBF light heavyweight titles. Though he gave it his best, he couldn’t stop Beterbiev from dominating the fight. He lost via TKO in the 7th round.

Dmitry Bivol is a professional boxer from Russia, and he has an undefeated record of 22-0. 

He is  the current unified WBA (super) and IBO  light heavyweight champion of the world. In 2016, he won the WBA interim light-heavyweight title and defended it twice before being promoted to the main title. Bivol continued to defend the WBA light-heavyweight championship 11 times.. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated Lyndon Arthur, via Unanimous Decision, and there is no announcement about his next fight.

Artur Beterbiev is a Russian-Canadian Boxer, with a record of 20 wins and no losses. He is the current unified WBC, WBO, and IBF light heavyweight champion of the world.

Beterbiev won the vacant IBF light-heavyweight title in 2017 and continued to defend it twice, before winning the WBC light-heavyweight title in 2019. He also defeated Joe Smith Jr via TKO in the second round, and became the WBO champion as well. 

Beterbiev took on Anthony Yarde in an exciting fight. As Yarde connected more, Beterbiev delivered heavy shots and was able to knock down Yarde in the 8th. When he got back up Beterbiev delivered more shots that forced Yarde’s corner to stop the fight.

In his most recent fight, he defended his title against Callum Smith. He dominated the fight from start to finish, ending it with a TKO in the 7th round to maintain his 100% finishing rate. As of now, there is no announcement about his next fight.
