Subriel Matías defends his title successfully and WBC Super Lightweight Champion Regis Prograis vs Undisputed Lightweight Champion Devin Haney will face off. All that and more in the Super Lightweight Boxing Rankings.

Sandor Martin is a professional boxer from Spain, and he has a professional record of 41 wins and 3 losses

Though Martin has not won a world title yet, he does have multiple regional titles under his belt, including the Spanish and European super-lightweight titles.

His most recent fight he faced Arblin Kaba and won via knockout. No announcement on his next fight.

10. Shohjahon Ergashev

Opening the Top 10 Super Lightweight Boxing Rankings Shahjahan Ergashev is an undefeated professional boxer from Uzbekistan, and he has a record of 23-1. 

Most notably, Ergashev Won the vacant WBA International super-lightweight title back in 2018. In his most recent fight, which happened last weekend, he fought Subriel Matías for the IBF Super Lightweight title but lost the fight after he refused to come out of his corner after the 5th round. 

As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

9. Gary Antuanne Russell

Gary Antuanne Russell is an American Professional boxer with an undefeated record of 16 wins and 0 losses. 

Russell hasn’t won any world title yet, however, his most notable win came against Viktor Postol, when he won the vacant WBA Continental Americas super lightweight title. 

In his most recent fight, Russel defeated Rances Barthelemy, and there is no announcement about his next fight yet.

8. Arnold Barboza Jr.

At number 8, we have Arnold Barboza Jr. an American professional boxer, with an undefeated professional record of 28-0. 

Arnold Barboza Jr is the current WBO Inter-Continental super lightweight world champion and has previously held the WBO International and WBC-NABF title as well. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated José Pedraza via Unanimous decision, and his next fight has not been announced yet.

7. Jose Zepeda

Jose Zepeda is a professional boxer of Mexican descent who fights out of the US. He has a record of 36 wins 4 losses, and 2 no contests, 

Most notably, he won the vacant WBO International super lightweight title after defeating Miguel Zamudio back in 2017, and he also challenged Jose Rameriz for the WBC super lightweight title but came short. 

In his most recent fight, Zepeda fought Richardson Hitchins and lost the fight via Unanimous decision.

6. Ronaldo Romero

Ronaldo Romero is an American professional boxer with a record of 15 wins and only 1 loss. 

Romero is the current WBA Super lightweight champion of the world and has previously held the WBA Interim title at lightweight as well. 

He won the super lightweight title recently after defeating Ismael Barroso via TKO in the 9th round. Ismael Barroso was winning the fight on the scorecard up till the 9th round, however, Romero stole the fight with a knockout win.

5. Jack Catterall

Jack Catterall is an English professional boxer, with a record of 28 wins and only 1 loss. 

Catterall is the former WBO Inter Continental light welterweight, and he defended the title an impressive nine times. He also held the British light welterweight title. 

He challenged Josh Taylor for the Undisputed super lightweight title, however, he lost the fight via split decision, in one of the most controversial decisions of the year.

In his most recent fight, he defeated Jorge Linares by unanimous decision, and his next fight has not been announced yet. 

4. Jose Carlos Ramirez

Jose Carlos Ramirez is a professional boxer from the USA, and he has a record of 28-1.

Ramirez is a former unified WBO and WBC light-welterweight champion, he defended the WBC title 4 times, and the WBO title once before losing them to Josh Taylor, in the only loss of his career. 

In his last fight, Ramirez defeated Richard Commey, and his next fight has not been announced yet.

3. Subriel Matías

Subriel Matías is a professional boxer from Puerto Rico and he has a professional record of 19 wins and 1 loss. 

Subriel Matías is the current IBF Junior Welterweight champion of the world and is one of the top rising talents in the division. He won after defeating Jeremias Ponce. Matías dominated the fight until Ponce’s corner stopped it in the 5th round. 

In his most recent fight, Matías made his first title defense against Shohjahon Ergashev. Though he got hit in the first round, Matías loosened up in the following rounds, consistently landing on Ergashev. After absorbing the barrage of punches for four more rounds, he refused to come out of his corner in the 6th, resulting in a win for Matías.

2. Regis Prograis

  • WBC Super Lightweight World Champion

Regis Prograis is an American professional boxer with a record of 28 wins and 1 loss. 

Prograis is the current WBC Junior Welterweight champion of the world. He has also previously held the WBA light-welterweight title and the WBC interim light-welterweight title 

Regis Prograis became a champion for the second time when he defeated Jose Zepeda via an 11th-round Knockout. Zepeda did have some good moments, but they were too few and far between. Prograis was already winning the fight when he got the KO.

In his latest fight, Prograis faced Danielito Zorrilla in a late replacement fight. He was supposed to face Liam Paro but was replaced due to injury. Prograis dropped Zorrilla in round 3 of the fight. Prograis won by split decision in a close fight.

He is set to face Devin Haney for his next fight on Saturday 9th December 2023

1. Teofimo Lopez

  • The Ring Super Lightweight World Champion

Teofimo Lopez is an American professional boxer with a record of 19 wins and only 1 loss. 

Lopez is the former unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight champion, and he even won the WBO international title at super lightweight after defeating Sandor martin in his most recent fight. 

In his most recent fight, Teofimo Lopez defeated Josh Taylor and won the WBO and The Ring Light Welterweight titles in an upset victory.

After a back and fourth start for both fighters till the 3rd it was at most dominated by Lopez for the rest of the fight. Lopez posses amazing speed that Taylor could not handle. A major improvement from his first fight at Light Welterweight.

As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.
