Ruben Villa

Ruben Villa is an American professional boxer, who has a record of 20 wins and only 1 loss. 

Villa is the former WBO International featherweight champion, and he also challenged Emanuel Navarrete for the WBO Featherweight world title but lost. Villa has held the WBO Youth featherweight title as well. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated Maickol Lopez Villagrana, and his next fight has not been announced yet.

 

 

Kiko Martínez

Kiko Martinez is a professional boxer from Spain, with a record of 44 wins, 12 losses, and 1 draw. 

Martinez has won world titles in two different divisions. He is a former IBF super-bantamweight champion and the former IBF Featherweight champion as well. He also held the European title in both divisions.

In his most recent fight, he lost to Reiya Abe via unanimous decision, and there is no official announcement about his next fight.

 

 

Michael Conlan

Michael Conlan is an Irish professional boxer with a record of 18 and 2 loss.

He is the former WBA interim featherweight champion and has previously held the  WBO and WBA Inter-Continental featherweight titles. 

In his most recent fight, Conlan fought Luis Lopez Vargas and lost the fight.

10. Reiya Abe

Reiya Abe is a professional boxer from Japan, and he has a record of 25 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw. 

Abe is the former Japanese and WBO Asia Pacific featherweight champion. He made the rankings after defeating Kiko Martínez via Unanimous Decision in his most recent fight, and there is no announcement about his next opponent yet.

 

 

 

9. Josh Warrington

Josh Warrington is a professional boxer from the UK and he has a record of 31 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw. 

Warrington is a former two-time IBF featherweight world champion. He is also the former WBC international featherweight champion, and the former European, British, and Commonwealth Featherweight champion. 

In his most recent fight, he faced Luis Lopez Vargas and lost his IBF title. He took a hard shot in the first round, which made his nose bleed, and couldn't do much in the following rounds. Though he had some success in the late rounds, he couldn't do enough to convince the judges. 

There is no official announcement about his next fight yet.

Gary Russell is the former WBC featherweight world champion, and he remained the champion for almost 5 years, with 5 title defenses.

In his most recent fight, Russell lost his title to Mark Magsayo, and there is no announcement about his next fight yet.

 

 

 

7. Mark Magsayo

Magsayo is a Filipino professional boxer with a professional record of 24 wins and 2 loss. Magsayo is the former WBC Featherweight world champion and won the title after defeating Gary Russell jr. He is also a 2-time WBO International featherweight champion.

He lost the WBO title to Rey Vargas. The fight was very competitive, and Magsayo even scored a knockdown in the 9th round, however, Vargas had momentum on his side, and decisively won more rounds than Magsayo, which got him the split decision win.

Mark Magsayo recently faced Brandon Figueroa with the WBC interim featherweight title on the line. Magsayo was deducted points for excessive holding in rounds eight and eleven. He lost via unanimous decision and no word for his next fight.

 

 

 

6. Robeisy Ramírez

Robeisy Ramírez is a professional boxer from Cuba and he has a record of 12 wins and only 1 loss. 

Ramirez is the current WBO featherweight world champion and previously held the WBO Global title as well. In his most recent fight, Ramírez defeated Isaac Dogboe, and his next fight is scheduled against Satoshi Shimizu for 25th July.

 

 

 

5. Mauricio Lara

Mauricio Lara is a Mexican professional boxer. He has a record of 26 wins, 3 losses, and 1 Draw.

He is the former WBA featherweight champion and won the title after defeating Leigh Wood. However, last weekend, Lara missed weight for his rematch against Leigh Wood and was stripped of the title. 

Lara lost the fight as well, and Leigh Wood took the world title. As of now, there is no official announcement about Mauricio Lara's next fight.

 

 

 

4. Brandon Figueroa

Brandon Figueroa is an American Professional boxer with a record of 24 wins and 2 losses. 

He is the former unified WBA and WBC super bantamweight world champion, and he also fought for the WBO title. He is now the WBC Featherweight Interim Champion after his last fight against Mark Magsayo.

Figueroa fought Magsayo for the Interim WBC Featherweight title. He won via unanimous decision with Magsayo being deducted a point in each the eighth and eleventh round. 

 

 

 

3. Luis Alberto Lopez Vargas

  • IBF Featherweight World Champion

Luis Lopez Vargas is a professional boxer from Mexico, and he has a record of 27 wins and 2 losses. 

Vargas is the current IBF featherweight world champion and has previously also held the WBO International featherweight title. 

Vargas fought Josh Warrington for the IBF title and won the fight via Majority Decision. He had a good start and hurt Warrington in the first round. Warrington did come back in the later rounds, but couldn't do enough.

In his most recent fight, he made his first title defense against Michael Conlan winning the fight via TKO in the 11th round. 

As of now, there is no official announcement about who Lopez will fight next.

 

 

 

2. Rey Vargas

Rey Vargas. Is a professional boxer from Mexico, and he has an undefeated professional record of 36 wins and 1 loss. 

Vargas is the current WBC Featherweight world champion. He previously held the WBC Super Bantamweight title as well and defended it 5 times before moving up to featherweight. 

He won the Featherweight title after defeating Mark Magsayo via Split decision. Vargas had good momentum between rounds 3 and 8, and he won the championship rounds as well. He got dropped in the 9th but had done enough to win the decision.

In his most recent fight, he moved up to super featherweight to fight O'Shaquie Foster for the WBC title, however, he lost, and there is no official announcement about his next fight.

 

 

 

1. Leigh Wood

  • WBA Featherweight World Champion

Leigh Wood is a British professional boxer, and he has a record of 27 wins and 3 losses.

Leigh Wood is a two-time WBA Featherweight world champion and currently holds the title as well. Wood also held the British and Commonwealth featherweight titles

Last weekend, he fought Mauricio Lara in a rematch after he had lost the WBA title to Lara in their previous fight. Lara missed weight, and the title was only on the line for Wood, who seized the opportunity and won the fight via a decisive Unanimous Decision.
