His first attempt at a world title at lightweight failed in 2016, however after about 3 years, he won the IBF Lightweight title defeating Isa Channel. He lost the title to Teofimo Lopez after only one defense. 

In his most recent fight, Commey fought José Pedraza, however, the fight ended in a split draw.

Diaz is a former interim WBC lightweight champion, and he also held the IBF title at super featherweight before he moved up. Diaz also fought Devin Haney for the WBC lightweight title, however, he lost the fight via Unanimous Decision.

5. Isaac Cruz

Isaac Cruz is a professional boxer from Mexico, and he has a record of 24 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw.

Issac Cruz currently holds the WBO Inter-Continental lightweight title, which he won in his most recent fight after defeating Yuriorkis Gamboa. Cruz also challenged Gervonta Davis for the WBA (Regular) world title back in December of last year, however, he lost via Unanimous Decision.

Past two fights, Issac Cruz took on Yuriorkis Gamboa and Eduardo Ramirez. In an impressive showing, Cruz knocked out Gamboa in the 5th round. In his most recent fight, Cruz defeated Ramirez by KO.

Garcia is the former WBC interim lightweight champion. He won the title after defeating Luke Campbell back in January of 2021. Garcia has also held multiple regional titles, including the WBC silver lightweight title. 

In his most recent fight, Garcia defeated Javier Fortuna via KO, and he is scheduled to fight Gervonta Davis on April 15th, 2023.



 

3. Gervonta Davis

Gervonta Davis is an American Boxer with an undefeated professional record of 28 wins and 0 losses. 

Davis has held world titles in three different weight classes, and he currently holds the WBA (Regular) Lightweight title as well. Last weekend, Davis fought Hector Garcia.

The fight was quite competitive until the 8th round when Davis dropped Garcia with a flush straight left. Davis continued to visibly hurt Garcia for the remainder of the round. The fight was called off by Garcia Corner after the 8th round and Davis won via Corner stoppage. 

His next fight is scheduled against Ryan Garcia for April 15th, 2023



 

2. Vasyl Lomachenko

Vasyl Lomachenko is a Boxer from Ukraine. He has a professional boxing record of 19 wins and 2 losses. 

Lomachenko has won world titles in three different world classes, and at lightweight, he held the unified WBA (Super), WBO, WBC, and The Ring lightweight titles. He lost the title to Teofimo Lopez, however, since then, he has won his next three fights in a row

In his most recent fight, Lomachenko defeated Jamaine Ortiz, and there is no information about when he will fight next.

Devin Haney is an American Boxer with an undefeated record of 29-0 with 15 KOs. he is currently the #1 ranked lightweight boxer in the world, and also holds all four major world titles at lightweight. 

Devin Haney is the current Undisputed lightweight champion, holding the unified WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles.  Haney became the WBC champion back in 2019, when he was promoted from the Interim title. He defended the title three times before winning the undisputed titles. 

Last weekend, Haney fought George Kambosos Jr in a rematch, and won once again. Like the first fight, the rematch was quite onesided, with Haney taking the Unanimous Decision win.
