Who won the Super Middleweight Fight Last Night?

The Super Middleweight rankings have shaken up, with Crawford solidifying his position at the top of the division, and perhaps the pound-for-pound rankings with a solid win over Canelo Álvarez, and new names like Osleys Iglesias and Armando Reséndiz making it to the top 10. Here are our definitive super middleweight rankings, but first, let’s take a look at some honorable mentions.

Super Middleweight is a weight class of boxers that consists of boxers weighing 160 pounds (72.6 kg) to 168 pounds (76.2 kg).

Top 10 Super Middleweight Boxers – World Rankings

10. William Scull

Starting off our list, we have William “El Indomable” Scull, a 33-year-old Cuban southpaw fighting out of Germany.

He holds a 23-1-0 record with 9 KOs and was the IBF super middleweight champion from 2024 until 2025. His recent unanimous decision loss came against Canelo Alvarez earlier this year, in a title unification attempt. 

Details about his next fight are still pending, but he’s eyeing a comeback early next year.

9. Hamzah Sheeraz

Hamzah Sheeraz, a 26-year-old British star from Slough, England. He carries an undefeated 22-0 record with 1 draw and 18 knockouts.

Sheeraz has held multiple regional and secondary titles at middleweight, including the WBC Silver, Commonwealth, and European middleweight titles. He recently moved up to super middleweight and quickly made it into the top ten after an impressive 5th-round knockout win over Edgar Berlanga on July 12, 2025, in New York. 

As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

8. Lester Martínez

Fighting out of San Benito, Petén, Guatemala, Lester Martínez is an undefeated professional boxer with 19 wins on his record. 

He is the former WBC Latino super middleweight champion, and in his most recent bout, he challenged Christian M’billi for the WBC interim super middleweight title. However, the fight ended in a rather controversial split draw.

His next fight will likely be a rematch against Christian M’bill.

7. Caleb Plant

At number 7, we have an American Boxer from Nashville, Tennessee, Caleb Plant. He has a professional record of 23 wins and 3 losses. 

Plant is the former IBF super middleweight world champion, having held the title from 2019 to 2021 with three defenses. He also held the WBA interim title more recently, but lost to Armando Reséndiz  via split decision in his most recent fight

Though there is no official announcement about his next fight, A strategic matchup against Edgar Berlanga is reportedly in talks for the first half of 2026.

6. Armando Reséndiz

    Armando Reséndiz is a Mexican professional boxer with a record of 16 wins and 2 losses. 

    Reséndiz is new to the top ten and made it into the rankings after defeating Caleb Plant in his most recent fight to win the WBA Interim Super Middleweight world title. 

    As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight; however, there are chances that he may have to fight Plant in a rematch before he can challenge for the world title.

    5. Diego Pacheco 

    Coming up next on our list, we have Diego Pacheco, a 23-year-old undefeated prospect from Los Angeles, California, USA. 

    He has a perfect 24-0-0 record with 19 KOs. Though he hasn’t won any major world titles yet, he is the current WBC-USNBC and WBO International super middleweight champion. He has held both titles since 2022 and has made an impressive seven title defenses. 

    He secured a unanimous decision win over Trevor McCumby in his most recent fight, and as of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

    4. Osleys Iglesias

    Next up, we have Cuban powerhouse Osley’s “El Tornado” Iglesias, who now fights out of Berlin, Germany.

    He maintains a flawless 14-0-0 record (13 KOs) and has held the IBO super middleweight title since 2022, making 4 successful title defenses.

    In his most recent fight, He stopped Vladimir Shishkin in the 8th round on September 4, 2025, in Montreal, earning a mandatory IBF title shot. His next bout is expected against the undisputed champ; however, there is no official announcement yet.

    3. Christian Mbilli

    Next up, claiming the number 3 spot, we have Christian Mbilli, a Cameroonian-French professional boxer with an unbeaten record of 29-0 with 1 draw. 

    Mbilli is the current WBC interim super middleweight champion and has previously held multiple regional titles as well, including the WBC Continental Americas and WBA International super middleweight titles.

    His most recent fight ended in a controversial draw against Lester Martinez on September 13, 2025, in a title defense. The WBC has ordered an immediate rematch, likely by the end of the year.

    2. Canelo Álvarez

    At number 2, we have Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. The Guadalajara, Mexico native has  a seasoned 63-3-2 record with 39 knockout wins,

    Canelo has held multiple world titles in four different weight classes, and he is a former two-time undisputed super middleweight world champion. 

    In his most recent fight, he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Terence Crawford, ending his reign. The fight started at an even pace, but Crawford started to pull ahead in the middle rounds. Canelo did make a comeback effort in the tenth, but it was too little too late. With a strong finish, Crawford was able to secure a Unanimous Decision victory.

Moreover, he has held undisputed titles in three weight classes, becoming only the second male boxer to do so in the modern four-belt era. 

    His most recent bout was a unanimous decision victory over Canelo Alvarez on September 13, 2025, in Las Vegas, marking his first fight at 168 lbs. Canelo was a tough opponent; however, Crawford was able to win most of the middle rounds. He also ended strong, scoring a Unanimous Decision win and becoming the Undisputed super middleweight world champion. 

    No next fight is confirmed yet, but speculation points to a defense against a top contender like Mbilli or Pacheco in early 2026.
