Who is the best Heavyweight Boxer?

Finally we have an Undisputed King at Heavyweight after Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury. There hasn’t been an undisputed Heavyweight boxer since Lennox Lewis who defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999. Agit Kabayel makes it on the list after defeating Frank Sanchez in the same Ring of Fire event. So here is a look at the Top Heavyweight Boxers List. Before we get to it here are some honorable mentions.

Deontay Wilder

Deontay Wilder is an American professional boxer, with a record of 43 wins, 4 losses, and 1 draw. 

Wilder is the former WBC Heavyweight champion and defended the title nine times, before losing it to Tyson Fury. He is one of the hardest-hitting heavyweight fighters, and 42 of his 43 wins have come by way of knockout. 

Wilder had an amazing trilogy fight against Fury which the first fight ended in a draw, Fury winning the second and also the third.

In his most recent fight, Wilder lost to Zhilei Zhang by knockout. This may have been his last in an amazing career.

10. Agit Kabayel

Agit Kabayel is a professional boxer from Germany, and he has an undefeated record of 25 wins.

He fought against Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Day of Reckoning event winning by fourth round knockout. His most recent fight at the Ring of Fire event was against Frank Sanchez winning by 7th round knockout.

No announcement regarding his next fight.

9. Jared Anderson

Jared Anderson is an American professional boxer, and he has an undefeated record of 17-0. 

He is the current WBO international heavyweight champion, and holds the WBC–USNBC heavyweight title as well. In his most recent fight, he made his third title defense against Andriy Rudenko, winning the fight via 5th round TKO.

Recently, Jared Anderson faced Ryad Merhy on won by unanimous decision. No announcement on his next fight.

8. Filip Hrgović

Filip Hrgović is a professional boxer from Croatia. He has a record of 17 wins and 1 loss.

Hrgović is the former WBC International heavyweight champion. He won the title in 2018 and defended it 5 times. He also held the IBF International heavyweight title and defended it twice. 

Filip Hrgović defeated Mark De Mori in the Day of Reckoning event. Hrgović dominated De Mori in the first round and finished him by TKO.

Filip Hrgović lost his recent fight to Daniel Dubois. The result was a technical knockout due to the cut produced by DuBois around his eye. No announcement on his next fight.

7. Daniel DuBois

Daniel DuBois is a British professional boxer, with a record of 21 wins and 2 losses.

DuBois is the former WBA Heavyweight World Champion. He has also held multiple regional titles as well such as the WBC Silver, WBO International, EBU European, Commonwealth Boxing Council, and BBBofC British Heavyweight Titles.

DuBois is now the new IBF Heavyweight Interim Champion as he won defeating Filip Hrgović by technical knockout. No announcement on his next fight.

6. Joe Joyce

Joe Joyce is a British professional boxer, with an undefeated professional record of 16 wins and only 2 losses.

Joyce is the former WBO Interim world champion. He has also held multiple regional titles and won a silver medal in the 2016 olympics as well. 

Joe Joyce faced Zhilei Zhang in a rematch for the Interim WBO title on the line. He lost the fight via KO again. He bounced back with a knockout win over Kash Ali and there is no announcement about his next fight.

5. Zhilei Zhang

Zhilei Zhang is a professional boxer from China, and he has a record of 27 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw. 

Zhang is the former WBO Interim Heavyweight world champion, and previously also held the WBO Oriental heavyweight title. He defeated Joe Joyce in a rematch via KO.

Zhang faced Joseph Parker and lost by majority decision. Zhang was able to knockdown Parker twice in the fight but was never able to capitalize. He let Parker comeback to win by decision losing his WBO Heavyweight Interim Title.

In his most recent fight, Zhang faced Deontay Wilder and won by KO. Zhang was hurting Wilder throughout the fight catching him multiple times. In the fifth round, Zhang caught Wilder with a short right hand while Wilder threw his right. Zhang followed up with another right after he made Wilder spin around to end he fight.

There is no announcement on his next fight.

4. Joseph Parker

Coming in at number 4 on the Top Heavyweight Boxers list we have Joseph Parker, a professional boxer from New Zealand, and he has a record of 35 wins and 3 losses.

Parker is the current WBO Heavyweight Interim Champion. He previously won the WBO Heavyweight title back in 2017 after defeating Andy Ruiz Jr. He defended the title twice over the next year, before losing it to Anthony Joshua in 2018.

He upset Deontay Wilder by unanimous decision at the Day of Reckoning event. The fight started off slow but Parker was able to back up Wilder with a right hand and also avoiding Wilder’s powerful right hand. Parker was able to rock Wilder in the 8th round to complete the upset.

Joseph Parker then defeated Zhilei Zhang by majority decision. Parker was able to overcome to knockdowns to comeback and win the WBO Interim Heavyweight Title. As of now, his next fight has not been announced yet.

3. Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua is a British professional boxer with a record of 28 wins and 3 losses. 

He is the former unified WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO world heavyweight champion, and has defended his titles against big names like Dillian Whyte, Wladimir Klitschko, Charles Martin, Joseph Parker, and Alexander Povetkin.

In his most recent fight, he defeated Otto Wallin via TKO in the fifth round. Joshua dominated Wallin throughout the fight where Wallin’s corner had to stop the fight in the fifth round.

Joshua faced Francis Ngannou recently won via a devastating knockout in the 2nd round. AJ was able to knockdown Ngannou twice before the final KO. There is no announcement regarding his next fight.

2. Tyson Fury

Tyson Fury is a heavyweight boxer from Britain, and he has a record of 34-1-1. Fury is the former WBC Heavyweight champion of the world. 

Fury held the title of Lineal Heavyweight champion, and back in 2015, where he defeated Wladimir Klitschko to become the unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight world champion. 

In his most recent fight, Fury faced Francis Ngannou, and won by decision. Fury suffered a knockdown in the 3rd round and almost a knockdown in the 8th round. Fury survived both winning by points.

Recently, Tyson Fury then faced Oleksandr Usyk to combine the major belts to become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion since 1999. In Saudi Arabia, Fury lost the first 3 rounds in his feel out process before dominating most of the rounds with effective body shots and uppercuts. He was even able to rock Usyk in the 6th with an uppercut.

Then in the 9th round he almost faced a knockout before the referee stepped in. Instead, a knockdown took place and Fury finished the final rounds losing to Usyk by split decision.

Tyson Fury’s next fight looks to be a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.

Now at #1 on the Heavyweight Boxers list is Oleksandr Usyk. Usyk is an undefeated boxer from Ukraine, and he has a record of 22 wins and no losses. 

Usyk is a two-weight unified world champion. He is the current undisputed WBO, WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight world champion. He is also the former undisputed Cruiserweight champion and current lineal Heavyweight World Champion

Usyk defended his title against Daniel Dubois, winning the fight via Knockout in the 9th round. The fight sparked some controversy, regarding a low blow landed by Dubois in the fifth round, which put Usyk down. Where some fans and Dubois believed it was a legal blow, and should have ended the fight. Still, Usyk outlanded Dubois every round and won the fight in the 9th.

Oleksandr Usyk then faced Tyson Fury to become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion in Saudi Arabia recently. There, after winning the first couple rounds, Usyk was able to land a devastating left in the 9th round that almost knocked out Tyson Fury if it wasn’t for the referee. Instead it was ruled a knockdown and from there Usyk dominated the rest of the fight winning by split decision.

Oleksandr Usyk’s next fight looks to be a rematch against Tyson Fury.
