Mikey Garcia
Mikey Garcia is a very talented boxer, with a record of 40-2. Over the course of his career, he has won multiple world championships in four different weight classes, and though he doesn’t make it into our rankings, he is ranked #6 by BoxRec and deserves an honorable mention.
Jamal James
Jamal James is an American boxer with a record of 27-2. He is the former WBA (Regular) welterweight champion. Though he is not in the rankings, he deserves an honorable mention.
Top 10 Welterweight Boxers
10. Cody Crowley
Starting off the list, Cody Crowley is a talented up-and-coming boxer from Canada. He has an undefeated professional record of 21 wins and no losses, and he is ranked #8 by BoxRec and TBRB.
In his most recent fight, which was last weekend, Cody Crowley defeated Josesito López via UD, making his place in the rankings. There is no announcement about his next fight.

9. Keith Thurman
Keith Thurman is an American boxer with a record of 30 wins and only 1 loss. He is the former Unified Welterweight world champion, and after his recent comeback, he is ranked #6 by TBRB and The Ring.
Thurman took a break from boxing after his first loss to Manny Pacquiao back in 2019, however, he made a comeback earlier this year and defeated Mario Barrios via UD. He is undeniably one of the best and most experienced boxers in the division, however, as of now, there is no news about his next fight.
8. David Avanesyan
David Avanesyan is a professional boxer from Russia, who has a professional record of 29 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw.
He is the former WBA interim welterweight champion and was later promoted to WBA (Regular) welterweight champion. However, he lost the title in his first defense. Avanesyan is also the current European welterweight champion.
In his most recent fight, he defended the European welterweight title against Oskari Metz and won via first-round TKO. His next fight has not been announced yet.
7. Radzhab Butaev
Radzhab Butaev is a professional boxer from Russia, who has a record of 14 wins, 1 loss, and 1 no contest.
Butaev is the Former WBA (Regular) welterweight champion and won the title after defeating the former champion, Jamal James. However, in his most recent fight, which was last weekend, he lost the title to Eimantas Stanionis after a very competitive fight.
As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.
6. Jaron Ennis
Jaron Ennis is an American boxer, with an undefeated professional record of 28 wins, no losses, and 1 no contest.
In December of last year, Jaron Ennis fought Chris van Heerden for the vacant IBO welterweight title. However, the fight was ruled as a no-contest after van Heerden suffered a cut from an accidental head clash.
His most recent fight was against Thomas Dulorme, which happened last weekend. Enis had a super dominating performance, knocking out Dulorme in the first round.
5. Eimantas Stanionis

Eimantas Stanionis is a professional boxer from Lithuania, and he has an undefeated professional 14 wins, no losses, and 1 no-contest
As an amatuer, Stanionis won the European championship, and after going professional, he has had some impressive wins. He is also the current WBA (regular) welterweight world champion. He won the title last weekend, after defeating Radzhab Butaev by split decision.
As of now, there is no official announcement about Stanionis’ next fight.
4. Vergil Ortiz Jr.
Vergil Ortiz Jr. is an incredible American boxer of Mexican descent with an undefeated record of 18-0, with 18 knockouts.
As an amateur, he won the 2013 Junior Olympics, and after going professional, he has held multiple regional titles. He is the current WBO International welterweight champion and the former WBA Gold welterweight champion.
In his most recent fight, Ortiz defeated Egidijus Kavaliauskas, and his next fight was scheduled against Michael McKinnon for March 19th but was called off due to injury.
3. Yordenis Ugás
Yordenis Ugás is from Cuba, and he has a professional record of 27 wins and 5 losses.
He is the former WBA (Super) welterweight champion, and held the title until last weekend.. Back in 2019, he also challenged Shawn Porter for the WBC welterweight title but lost a split decision. His most impressive win came against the Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao, who he defeated last year via a unanimous decision.
Last weekend, he fought Errol Spence Jr, with three world titles on the line, however, he lost the fight. Spence did some incredible bodywork and beat up Ugas pretty badly until the doctor called the fight in the 10th round.
2. Terence Crawford

Terence Crawford is easily one of the best boxers right now. He has an impressive undefeated record of 38-0 and has won multiple world titles in three different weight divisions. He is also the current WBO welterweight world champion and has held the title since 2018.
Crawford also held the WBO, Ring magazine, and lineal lightweight titles from 2014 to 2015, and was the unified WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO, Ring, and lineal light-welterweight titles from 2015 and 2017, making him a former undisputed champion at light-welterweight.
Crawford’s most recent defense was against Shawn Porter, which he won via TKO in the 10th round. His next fight has not been announced yet.

At the top of the list, we have Errol Spence Jr, an American boxer with an undefeated record of 28-0.
Errol Spence Jr. is the current unified WBA (super), WBC, and IBF welterweight world champion, and he has defeated some big names in the sport.
His most recent fight was last weekend, against Yordenis Ugás. Spence took a little time to get into the rhythm, however, in the middle rounds, he started landing strong left hands, and vicious body shots which slowed Ugas down. The fight was stopped by the doctor in the 10th round as Ugar took too much damage.
As of now, there is no official announcement about the champ’s next title defense.
