The preparations are ongoing around the NFL as teams build and assemble their rosters for the upcoming 2023 NFL season. As NFL teams prepare for the upcoming season, the time is also perfect for fantasy football owners to begin fantasy football draft preparations.

When you look around at the top players around the NFL there is a long list of options as the top fantasy football player as well a nice mix to land among the Top 10 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings 2023-2024 list.

Whether you play in a play in a Points Per Reception (PPR) league or not, each of the 10 NFL players landing among the best fantasy players in the NFL can carry a fantasy roster.

Two NFL players worth mentioning are Austin Ekeler of the Los Angeles Chargers and Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings.

Ekeler is a dual threat running back who is ideal for PPR leagues while Jefferson is the go-to receiver who has topped the 100-yard reception mark twice and 1,400 yards three times.

Joining Ekeler and Jefferson among the top fantasy football players in 2023 are Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, and Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers. Here is a look at the Top 10 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings 2023-2024 list.

Honorable Mention

Tyreek Hill

Team: Miami Dolphins

Position: Wide Receiver

Landing just outside of the Top 10 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings 2023-2024 list is the Miami Dolphins talented and speedy wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

It is hard to look past Hill as one of the top fantasy football players each season and that is the case entering the 2023 NFL schedule.

Hill enters the upcoming season coming off back-to-back 110 plus reception seasons while posting at least 1,200 yards in three seasons. With Jaylen Waddle on the opposite side, Hill should continue to see opportunities to make plays for fantasy football owners.

Garrett Wilson

Team: New York Jets

Position: Wide Receiver

One young player that will look to take another big step forward for fantasy football owners is Garrett Wilson of the New York Jets. With the Jets landing Aaron Rodgers to play quarterback Wilson’s stock jumped among fantasy football players.

The former Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver is coming off a rookie season that featured 83 catches for 1,103 yards and four touchdown passes. Wilson should benefit from Rodgers ability to make plays while also seeing his touchdown totals go up.

Top 10 Fantasy Football Rankings

10. Josh Jacobs

Team: Las Vegas Raiders

Position: Running Back

Coming in at number 10 on the Top 10 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings 2023-2024 list is the Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs is coming off a career year posting 1,653 rushing yards while rushing for 12 touchdowns.

The Raiders running back has rushed for at least seven touchdowns in each season since being drafted during the 2019 NFL season.

In addition, Jacobs is solid in the passing game catching 53 passes in 2022 and 54 passes in 2021 adding additional opportunities for fantasy owners especially in PPR leagues.

9. Stefon Diggs

Team: Buffalo Bills

Position: Wide Receiver

It is hard not to like Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills as one of the best fantasy producing players in the NFL. Diggs currently plays on one of the league's top offenses with one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.

His production showed last season as he ranked 4th in the NFL in receptions with 108, 5th in receiving yards with 1,429, and one tied for 3rd with 11 touchdown receptions.

On top of those numbers Josh Allen looks to Diggs in critical situations as well as when the team needs a big play for a first down as the Bills receiver posted 72 catches for first downs last season.

8. Travis Kelce

Team: Kansas City Chiefs

Position: Tight End

The NFL’s top tight end continues to build a Hall of Fame resume while moving up the ranks among the greatest tight ends to play in the NFL.

Playing alongside Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback tight end tandem has become one of the best duos in the game while also a fantasy football cheat code for fantasy football owners.

Kelce has topped the 1,000-yard receiving mark in seven straight seasons while catching no fewer than 83 passes over that stretch.

Kelce is coming off a season in which he led all tight ends in receptions (110), receiving yards (1,338), and touchdowns (12). Once a position

7. Saquon Barkley

Team: New York Giants

Position: Running Back

Entering the NFL back during the 2018 NFL Draft expectations were set high for the former Penn State Nittany Lions running back.

While Barkley has shown at times his abilities, his performance during the 2022 NFL season showcases his fantasy potential for fantasy owners entering the 2023 NFL season. Barkley rushed for a career high 1,312 yards to go along with 10 rushing touchdowns.

In addition, the New York Giants running back added 41 receptions for 263 yards and two touchdown receptions. With the Giants trending in the right direction, Barkley will have the potential to continue to rack up statistics this season.

6. Davante Adams

Team: Las Vegas Raiders

Position: Wide Receiver

Some could argue that Davante Adams could be as high as two or three on the list of the best fantasy football players entering the 2023 NFL schedule.

Question marks at quarterback hurts his overall fantasy football value however Adams has the skill set to make plays for whichever starting quarterback suits up for the Las Vegas Raiders each week.

In four of the past five seasons Adams has seen at least 149 targets with his only exception coming during 2019 where the All-Pro receiver missed four games.

Adams is a possession receiver with great route running abilities who can move the chain and find the endzone. The Raiders receiver finished last season as the NFL touchdown reception leader with 14 touchdowns.

5. Patrick Mahomes

Team: Kansas City Chiefs

Position: Quarterback

Year in and year out the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback ranks among the best quarterbacks in the NFL while heading the type of fantasy football quarterback.

Despite losing Tyreek Hill last season Mahomes managed to finish the season as the passing leader with 5,250 yards as well as with 41 touchdown passes.

While the team has question marks at the receiver position, the team features the NFL top tight end as Mahomes number one target.

Mahomes is coming off his second career 5,000 plus passing yard season (5,250). If the Chiefs find a way to add a veteran receiver Mahomes fantasy ranking could continue to trend in the upward direction.

4. Christian McCaffrey

Team: San Francisco 49ers

Position: Running Back

One of the best all around running backs in the NFL, Christian McCaffrey can do it all for the San Francisco 49ers including being a threat in both the running game and passing game.

McCaffrey even has the ability to throw a pass from time to time adding additional fantasy football value for his fantasy owners.

McCaffrey versatility and ability to be a key threat in both the passing game and running game adds value including for fantasy football owners in PPR leagues.

Nonetheless McCaffrey finished the season ranked 8th in receiving yards (1,139), tied for 12th in rushing touchdowns (8) to go along with five touchdown catches and 744 yards receiving.

3. Ja’Marr Chase

Team: Cincinnati Bengals

Position: Wide Receiver

When it comes to big plays it is hard to look past one of the top wide receivers in all of football in Ja’Marr Chase. Chase who has been huge since being selected by the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2021 NFL Draft.

Despite missing five games last season Chase still racked up 1,046 yards on 87 catches while posting nine touchdown receptions.

In five fever games then the previous season Chase was targeted six more times while finishing last season with 134 targets while also posting 58 catches for first downs.

Team: Los Angeles Chargers

Position: Running Back

It is hard not to love Austin Ekeler as one of the top fantasy football options all around as well as the top fantasy football running back.

Ekeler, who is a vital part of the high-powered Los Angeles Chargers offense plays in an offense that can rack up yards and points and increases his value with the opportunities that are created for him to produce.
