The 2024 NFL season is still roughly six months away however the hype continues to build as the off-season is in full swing. In addition to free agency, the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is in the books helping to add excitement for what looks to be an exciting 2024 National Football League schedule. The 2024 NFL Draft is loaded with talent across the board including at the quarterback position which features a trio of NFL Draft Prospects expected to be selected within the first 10 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft. Leading the wave is the former USC Trojans and Heisman Trophy Winner Caleb Williams who lands atop the Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects 2024 Rankings list.

After transferring from the Oklahoma Sooners to the USC Trojans, Williams blossomed into one of the top performing quarterbacks in college football. This includes a stellar first season with the Trojans that led to 4,537 Passing Yards and 42 Touchdowns in route to taking home the Heisman Trophy.

As Williams has been considered the favorite to be selected number one overall by the Chicago Bears, he is also joined among the top five best NFL draft prospects list is the North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback Drake Maye and the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels of the LSU Tigers.

Here is a look at the Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects 2024 Rankings as the 2024 NFL Draft approaches:

Honorable Mention

Dallas Turner

Position: Edge Defender

Projected Pick: 7th to 15th (Top 15)

Just missing the Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects 2024 Rankings list is the talented edge defender from the Alabama Crimson Tide. Turner is coming off his best season in college football last year posting career highs in tackles (53), sacks (10), forced fumbles (2) and passes defended (1).

Turner is an interesting option for teams looking to get more athletic and faster at the edge position while also drafting a player who has the potential to rack up 15-20 sacks per season for years to come.

The former Crimson Tide defender has an explosive burst to get after quarterbacks while also having the ability to cover running backs in coverage.

Laiatu Latu

Position: Edge Defender

Projected Pick: 5th to 15th (Top 15)

Coming off back-to-back double-digit sack seasons the UCLA Bruins edge defender will look to deliver one lucky NFL team a player who can get to the quarterback on each play.

Laiatu Latu capped off his final season with the Bruins posting 13 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two passes defended while also posting two interceptions. The Bruins defender stands at six foot five inches tall while having solid size with a wingspan of 79 ¼ inches.

In addition to size Latu has the size to get around tackles while also having the power and athleticism to shed blockers to make a play in the backfield.

Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects 2024 Rankings

10. Blake Corum

Position: Running Back

Projected Pick: 5th to 15th (Top 15)

Sliding in at number 10 on the Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects 2024 Rankings list is the Michigan Wolverines play making running back Blake Corum. The running back position is slowly seeing the need for teams to have one if not two dynamic running backs in one offense.

One running back within the 2024 NFL Draft that has the play making abilities to make plays both on the ground as well as a weapon in the passing attack is Blake Corum.

Corum capped off his college career leading the Michigan Wolverines to a National Championship while posting 134 yards on the and two rushing touchdowns. On the season Corum posted 28 total touchdowns to go along with 1362 total yards of offense.

9. Cooper DeJean

Position: Cornerback

Projected Pick: 7th to 15th (Top 15)

With the NFL continuing to lean on the passing game the importance for shutdown cornerbacks continues to grow from season to season. The same can be said as the 2024 NFL Draft approaches and one player that lands among the best cornerbacks in college football is the Iowa Hawkeyes Cooper DeJean.

DeJean is a tremendous on ball defender and a player that can lineup against nearly any wide receiver. The Hawkeyes cornerback finished his college career with seven career interceptions including three returned for a touchdown.

DeJean possesses solid size for an NFL cornerback along with the spend and agility to keep up with speedy receivers.

8. Brock Bowers

Position: Tight End

Projected Pick: 8th to 15th (Top 15)

Ranked among the best tight ends in college football, Brock Bowers headlines the list of the best NFL Draft prospects as the 2024 NFL Draft approaches. Despite missing time with an injury during the 2023 NCAA season, Bowers showcased his playmaking abilities posting 56 catches for 714 yards to go along with six touchdown receptions.

The former Georgia Bulldogs tight end has the size at six foot four inches to be a mismatch for both linebackers and safeties while also having the speed to separate in coverage.

Most importantly Bowers uses his size and speed to make plays after the catch while racking up solid Yards After Catch  or YAC yards.

7. Joe Alt

Position: Left Tackle

Projected Pick: 4th to 10th (Top 10)

It’s difficult to get too excited about an offensive lineman but for a team looking to develop and grow on the offensive side of the football, the offensive line has to have talented players who can open up running lanes and protect for the quarterback.

One of those offensive lines entering the 2024 NFL Draft is Joe Alt of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish who is expected by many to be the first lineman off the draft board come draft day.

Alt has tremendous size at six foot eight inches and 315 pounds to build into one of the top left tackles in the NFL. In addition to using his size to his advantage, Alt is solid both in pass blocking and run blocking situations.

6. Rome Odunze

Position: Wide Receiver

Projected Pick: 3rd to 10th (Top 10)

The trio of wide receivers being linked together this season rounds out with the Washington Huskies star wide receiver Rome Odunze.

Odunze is a big strong physical wide receiver that stands at six foot three inches and has the speed and vertical abilities to make him difficult to slow down with just one defender.

In addition to using his size, the Huskies wide receiver also showcased strong skills at finding the ball and using his size to make the catch this past season. Odunze was one of the top playmakers in the PAC-12 conference all season while posting 1,640 yards and 13 touchdown receptions on 92 catches.

5. Malik Nabers

Position: Wide Receiver

Projected Pick: 3rd to 10th (Top 10)

Rounding out the Top 5 on the Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects 2024 is another member of the very talented LSU Tigers team, Malik Nabers.

Nabers, who ranks among the top three wide receivers in a loaded group of receivers entering the NFL Draft this season, is slowly climbing up the leaderboard while showcasing his physical tools as possibly the best playmaker of the group.

In addition to his aggressive and strong route running abilities, Nabers has the ability to add Yards After Catch or YAC yards which makes him a dangerous weapon for any NFL team looking for a playmaker at the position. Nabers used his playmaking abilities to post 1,569 yards receiving and 14 touchdown receptions this past season.

4. Drake Maye

Position: Quarterback

Projected Pick: 2nd to 8th (Top 10)

The third quarterback to watch entering the 2024 NFL Draft is the former North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback Drake Maye. Maye, who doesn’t have the running abilities of the other top quarterbacks such as Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams, makes up for it by having the best of the arms in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The former Tar Heels quarterback connected on 63.3 passes during the 2023 NCAA Football season while also throwing for 24 touchdown passes.

Maye has solid size for the quarterback position standing at six foot four inches while also having a strong physical arm and great football awareness to know when to stand in the pocket and when to step up.

3. Marvin Harrison Jr.

Position: Wide Receiver

Projected Pick: 3rd to 5th (Top 5)

The loaded 2024 NFL Draft is filled with playmakers at the wide receiver position including Marvin Harrison Jr of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Harrison Jr who is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, racked up 2,474 yards over his sophomore and junior seasons while adding 14 touchdowns in each season.

The former Buckeyes wide receiver is as polished as any receiver in the draft class while having solid size at six foot four inches. Excellent runner with great route running skills to go along with some of the best hands within the draft class.

Expectations are Harrison will find himself drafted within the first three to five picks depending on how the quarterback market shakes out.

2. Jayden Daniels

Position: Quarterback

Projected Pick: 2nd to 8th (Top 10)

Another dynamic dual-threat quarterback who has all the physical tools to be the next great quarterback of the NFL is the former LSU Tigers Heisman Trophy Award winner Jayden Daniels.

Entering the 2024 NFL Draft, Daniels has solid size at six foot four inches to play the quarterback position while also displaying tremendous football IQ that allows him to run the offense at a high level.

Daniels, who is coming off throwing for 3,812 yards showcased his ability to stand in the pocket to make nearly any throw possible while also completing 72.2 percent of his passes. In addition, his ability to make plays with his feet will make it difficult for opposing teams to build a true game plan each week.

1. Caleb Williams

Position: Quarterback

Projected Pick: #1

In at number one on the Top 10 NFL Draft Prospects 2024 Rankings list, everyone’s NFL Mock Draft, is the former USC Trojans quarterback and potential first overall pick during the 2024 NFL Draft.

Williams should remain as the number one overall draft prospect leading up to the draft barring an injury or other issue that presents itself. The Trojans quarterback has the physical tangibles to be a threat both in the passing and running game while forcing defenses to focus on both elements of his football game.

In each of his previous two seasons, Williams has completed at least 66 percent of his pass attempts while throwing for at least 30 touchdowns and running for at least 10 rushing touchdowns in both seasons.
