The former South Carolina Gamecocks forward will bring strong size and leadership to a Dream team looking to move up within the standings in the WNBA Eastern Conference.

While her numbers with the Gamecocks weren’t as impressive as others on this list, much of that was due to the talent surrounding her and the little they asked of her.

Nonetheless Amihere still averaged 7.1 points per game to go along with 3.4 rebounds and provided strong defense while averaging 1.1 blocked shots.

9. Zia Cooke

Team: Los Angeles Sparks

Another member of a very talented South Carolina Gamecocks team landing on the list of the top WNBA rookies entering the 2023 season is Zia Cooke.

Nonetheless in 13 games last season the Iowa State Hawkeyes forward averaged over 15 points per game (15.4) to go along with 10.8 rebounds while recording eight double doubles. If Soares returns this season, look for her to rank among the best rookies in the WNBA.
