Ranking the best WNBA Fantasy Players right now in the league

The 2023 WNBA schedule is rolling along as the schedule rolls into mid-June while the WNBA fantasy basketball action continues to heat up.

The WNBA schedule features a loaded schedule for the upcoming week including a full lineup of WNBA Games on Sunday June 11th, 2023, for Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) owners to take advantage of.

When you start to look at the top WNBA fantasy options, a long list of WNBA stars are worthy of a mention among the Top 10 WNBA Fantasy Rankings Week of June 11th through June 18th, 2023. 



The 2023 WNBA schedule will deliver a six-game slate on Sunday June 11th, a three-game slate on Tuesday June 13th, just one game on Wednesday June 14th, three games on Thursday June 15th, two games on Friday June 16th, one game on Saturday June 17th, and five games on Sunday June 18th.

As fantasy owners look to build their DFS lineups for the week, the Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas lands as the top WNBA Fantasy player for the week while the Sun have three games on the schedule.

Joining Thomas on the list includes Jewell Lloyd of the Seattle Storm, Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty, Satou Sabally of the Dallas Wings, Brittany Griner of the Phoenix Mercury. Here is a look at the Top 10 WNBA Fantasy Rankings Week of June 11th through June 18th, 2023.

Arike Ogunbowale

Team: Dallas Wings

Position: Guard
Team Matchups: @ New York Liberty (6/11), Los Angeles Sparks (6/14), Seattle Storm (6/17)

Landing just outside of the Top 10 WNBA Fantasy Rankings Week of June 11th is the Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale.

It is hard to look past Ogunbowale as one of the top fantasy WNBA players while ranking among the top scorers in the league while averaging 20.6 points per game over her first five games of the season.

In addition, the Wings guard also averages 3.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game adding extra value to her overall fantasy value.

Courtney Vandersloot

Team: New York Liberty

Position: Guard
Team Matchups: @ Dallas Wings (6/11), Atlanta Dream (6/13), Phoenix Mercury (6/18)

When you look at the New York Liberty the team is loaded with talent all over the court while having three of the top fantasy producers within the WNBA.

When looking at Courtney Vandersloot, her value comes with her ability to run the team’s offense while focusing on being a passer first before a shooter.

Nonetheless Vandersloot is currently leading the WNBA averaging 8.8 assists per game to go along with 10.5 points per game. Adding additional fantasy value, the Liberty guard also adds 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and a blocked shot per game.

10. Cheyenne Parker

Team: Atlanta Dream

Position: Forward
Team Matchups: Connecticut Sun (6/11), New York Liberty (6/13), @ Connecticut Sun (6/15), @ Indiana Fever (06/18)

Coming in at number 10 on the Top 10 WNBA Fantasy Rankings Week of June 11th is the Atlanta Dream forward Cheyenne Parker. Parker is currently putting together her best season in the WNBA while averaging a career high 17.2 points per game over her first five games this season.

Over her first five games Parker has posted at least 18 points in three of the five games while also adding at least 10 points in the other two matchups to go along with two double doubles to start the 2023 WNBA season.

9. A’ja Wilson

Team: Las Vegas Aces

Position: Forward
Team Matchups: Chicago Storm (6/11), Seattle Storm (6/15), Minnesota Lynx (6/18)

After taking home the 2022 WNBA MVP, A’ja Wilson is off to another fast start for the Las Vegas Aces to start the season as the team looks to repeat as WNBA champions. Wilson currently ranks 8th in the WNBA while averaging 20 points per game over her first eight games.

Wilson has two favorable matchups over the course of the week against a Seattle Storm team allowing the most points per game (88.2) and the Minnesota Lynx who are allowing the 4th most points per game (86.4). Wilson has two double doubles on the year while also adding five games with at least 21 points per game.

8. Diana Taurasi

Team: Phoenix Mercury

Position: Guard
Team Matchups: Indiana Fever (6/11), Seattle Storm (6/13), Washington Mystics (6/16), New York Liberty (6/18)

One of the legends of the WNBA continues to put together big-time performances for the Phoenix Mercury as fantasy owners look to cash in with her.

The 16-year WNBA veteran has posted at least 15 points to go along with five assists in each of her first five games of the season including a strong 23 point, 10 assist double double against the Minnesota Lynx back in late May.

On the year Taurasi is averaging 18.4 points per game to go along with 3.6 rebounds, and 6.6 assists. In addition to her play the Mercury have two ideal matchups against the Seattle Storm, and Indiana Fever who rank 1st and 2nd in the WNBA in points allowed to opposing teams this season.

7. Elena Delle Donne

Team: Washington Mystics

Position: Forward
Team Matchups: @ Seattle Storm (6/11), @ Indiana Fever (6/13), Phoenix Mercury (6/16), Chicago Sky (6/18)

As you start to look at ideal fantasy options to build your WNBA it is hard to look past Elena Delle Donne as one of the top forward options for the week.

The Washington Mystics forward will have key matchups against Seattle Storm, Indiana Fever, and Phoenix Mercury each allowing over 86.6 points per game in addition to both the Storm and Fever allowing over 35.5 rebounds per game.

Delle Donne enters play on the weekend averaging 19.8 points per game to go along with seven rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

6. Nneka Ogwumike

Team: Los Angeles Sparks

Position: Forward
Team Matchups: @ Minnesota Lynx (6/11), @ Dallas Wings (6/14), Minnesota Lynx (6/16), Connecticut Sun (6/18)

One name to consider as a top tier fantasy option heading into the weekend for your WNBA fantasy lineups is the Los Angeles Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike.

The 32-year-old veteran has been red hot for the Sparks over her last three games while posting double doubles in each of those three contests. Over the three-game stretch, Ogwumike is averaging 23.3 points per game to go along with 12.3 rebounds per game.

Her premier matchup comes against a Dallas Wings team allowing the third most rebounds per game (36.7) as well as the 5th most points in the WNBA with 83.7 points per game.

5. Britteny Griner

Team: Phoenix Mercury

Position: Center
Team Matchups: Indiana Fever (6/11), Seattle Storm (6/13), Washington Mystics (6/16), New York Liberty (6/18)

Back in the WNBA after missing last year, Britteny Griner has returned as one of the best centers in the league. The former Baylor Bears star has posted at least 24 points in three of her first five games while also posting two double doubles.

In addition to those numbers Griner adds value with her defensive abilities including posting at least two blocked shots in four of those five games as well as at least one steal in three additional games.

Griner has ideal fantasy matchups against a Seattle Storm team allowing 36.2 rebounds per game as well as a Washington Mystics team allowing a league high 38.7 rebounds to opposing teams.

4. Satou Sabally

Team: Dallas Wings

Position: Forward
Team Matchups: @ New York Liberty (6/11), Los Angeles Sparks (6/14), Seattle Storm (6/17)

Satou Sabally joins the list of the top WNBA fantasy players for the upcoming week ending Sunday June 18th, 2013. The former Oregon Ducks forward has been brilliant all season long for the Wings while posting five double doubles over her first five games including one in each of her last four games played.

On the season Sabally is one of five players averaging a double double. While Sabally will have a difficult matchup against a very good New York Liberty team, her fantasy perspective improves to end the week against teams allowing at least 83.7 points per game and at least 35 rebounds per game.

3. Breanna Stewart

Team: New York Liberty

Position: Forward
Team Matchups: @ Dallas Wings (6/11), Atlanta Dream (6/13), Phoenix Mercury (6/18)

After spending the first six seasons of her WNBA career with the Seattle Storm, Breanna Stewart signed with the New York Liberty for the upcoming season.

A move that has paid off well for the veteran as she has rewarded the Liberty to start the year while averaging a double double while posting career highs in points (23.7) and rebounds (10.5) per game.

In addition, for fantasy owners Stewart stuffs to the stat sheet adding 1.7 blocked shots per game, 2.2 steals, and 3.5 assists per game. Stewart has favorable fantasy matchups in each of her three contests this season against teams allowing at least 81.8 points per game and at least 35 rebounds.

2. Jewell Lloyd

Team: Seattle Storm

Position: Guard
Team Matchups: Washington Mystics (6/11), @ Phoenix Mercury (6/13), @ Las Vegas Aces (6/15), @ Dallas Wings (6/17)

The WNBA leading scorer is a near lock to play in each contest the Seattle Storm take the floor. Lloyd is currently leading the WNBA while averaging 28 points per game to go along with 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 blocked shots.

On the year Lloyd has faced both the Las Vegas Aces and Dallas Wings while posting at least 22 points in each game. In her one meeting with the Wings during the 2023 WNBA season Lloyd posted 30 points to go along with two rebounds, three assists, and three blocked shots. In addition, with the league loaded with talented forwards, Lloyd adds versatility to a fantasy lineup at the guard position.

1. Alyssa Thomas

Team: Connecticut Sun

Position: Forward
Team Matchups: @ Atlanta Dream (6/11), Atlanta Dream (6/15), @ Los Angeles Sparks (6/18)

It is hard to look past Alyssa Thomas as the top option on the Top 10 WNBA Fantasy Rankings Week of June 11th through June 18th, 2023, list.

The Connecticut Sun forward is a stat stuffer for fantasy owners while delivering fantasy points from all angles. Thomas enters her matchup against the Atlanta Dream on Sunday June 11th, averaging 13.8 points per game to go along with 11.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.

The Sun forward has posted a double double in seven of her first nine games this season. Each of her three opponents are favorable with the Dream allowing at least 81.8 points per game to go with the second most rebounds per game (38.2) while the Los Angeles Sparks are allowing 83.7 points per game to go along with 35 rebounds per game.
