Jones became the heavyweight champion after defeating former UFC interim heavyweight champion Ciyrl Gane. Jones Won in the very first round, Submitting Gane via Guillotine choke.
His next fight was against Stipe Miocic but the bout will be rescheduled due to Jones’ recent injury.

Stipe Miocic is an American professional MMA Fighter with a record of 20 wins and 4 losses.
He is a former two-time UFC heavyweight world champion and holds the record for most consecutive title defenses in the division. His most notable wins have come against Francis Ngannou, Daniel Cormier, Junior Dos Santos, Fabricio Werdum, and Mark Hunt.
In his most recent fight, Miocic lost the world title to Francis Ngannou in a rematch. He was scheduled to fight Jon Jones at UFC 295, but the fight had to be canceled after Jones was injured.
