The 2022 NFL Schedule rolls into Week 7 as the action on the football field continues to heat up. For fantasy football owners including DFS players, Week 7 of the NFL Schedule 2022 delivers a solid slate of NFL games to build your lineups around with a ton of great options to start. 

One game to watch in Week 7 from a fantasy view is the Cincinnati Bengals matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The contest has a potential to see a ton of points scored while Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase have ideal fantasy matchups against the Falcons defense landing them among the Top 10 Fantasy Football Players Week 7 must start matchups.

 

While Burrow and Chase make a great tandem to build around, another option to consider is looking at the Miami Dolphins wide receiver duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Hill and Waddle have a solid matchup against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense while the health of Tua Tagovailoa may make him a nice option not landing on the Top 10 Fantasy Football Players Week 7 list. Here is the rest of the analysis for Week 7 of the Top 10 Fantasy Football Player Rankings

Aaron Rodgers

Team: Green Bay Packers

Position: Quarterback

Week 7 Matchup: Washington Commanders

Landing just outside of the 10 Fantasy Football Players to Start Week 7 of the 2022 NFL Schedule rankings list is the Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

While Rodgers has yet to put together the statistics that we are all accustomed to over the years, he has however protected the ball through the teams first six games.

In week 7, Rodgers has a great matchup against a Washington Commanders defense that has surrendered the 2nd most touchdowns (12) to opposing quarterbacks.

Look for Rodgers to put the ball into the end zone in Week 7 while being a solid starting option while Romeo Doubs at wide receiver is a great sleeper option.

David Njoku

Team: Cleveland Browns

Position: Tight End

Week 7 Matchup: Baltimore Ravens

As you start to look at fantasy matchups for Week 7 of the 2022 NFL Schedule, one matchup that stands out is the Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku.

Njoku and the Browns offense will go up against a Baltimore Ravens defense that has struggled at times during the season including slowing down opposing tight ends.

Entering Week 7, the Ravens defense has allowed the 3rd most touchdowns (4) to opposing tight ends and the 4th most red zone targets (10). Over the past two seasons the Browns tight end has found the endzone at least once during each season against the Ravens.

10. Jaylen Waddle

Team: Miami Dolphins

Position: Wide Receiver 

Week 7 Matchup: Pittsburgh Steelers

When it comes to finding the ideal fantasy football matchup it simply comes down to the matchups and that is the case with Jaylen Waddle.

Waddle, who lands at number 10 on the Top 10 Fantasy Football Players to Start Week 7 of the 2022 NFL Schedule rankings list, will take on a Steelers defense that has struggled against opposing receivers.

Entering Week 7 the Steelers are allowing a league high in fantasy points to the position after allowing the most receiving yards (1,263) and receiving touchdowns (9) to the position. In addition, Waddle’s teammate is another top 2022 fantasy football player to start in week 7.

9. Ja’Marr Chase

Team: Cincinnati Bengals

Position: Wide Receiver

Week 7 Matchup: Atlanta Falcons

After a slow start to the season the All-Pro wide receiver showed signs of life last week pulling in seven catches for 132 yards to go along with two touchdowns.

In week 7, Ja’Marr Chase along with teammates Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd all have ideal matchups against the Atlanta Falcons. During week 6 the Falcons defense allowed two San Francisco 49ers receivers to pull in at least seven catches for 79 yards and a total of two touchdown receptions.

On the year the Falcons rank 5th receiving yards (1077) and 2nd in touchdowns allowed (8) to opposing receivers. Look for Chase to continue his hot streak in Week 7 as a must start fantasy football option for your DFS lineup.

8. Saquon Barkley

Team: New York Giants

Position: Running Back

Week 7 Matchup: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Since arriving in the NFL, Saquon Barkley has had all the potential in the NFL to be a top tier fantasy football option week in and week out.

However, injuries have limited him over the start of his career including heading into Week 7 as he is dealing with a shoulder injury. That said, despite battling the injury last week Barkley found the end zone for his fourth rushing touchdown on the season.

Barkley is currently ranked 2nd in rushing yards (616), 1st in rushing attempts (119), and tied for 5th in rushing touchdowns (4).

Barkley will face a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that has surrendered 476 rushing yards, 332 receiving yards, and five touchdowns to opposing running backs in 2022.

7. Matt Ryan

Team: Indianapolis Colts

Position: Quarterback

Week 7 Matchup: Tennessee Titans

One interesting fantasy football option to consider in Week 7 is the Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Ryan.

Depending on the Daily Fantasy Sports platform you may be playing on Ryan ranks in the middle of the pack on DraftKings and FanDuel among all starting quarterbacks.

With salary cap relief, Ryan has a solid matchup against a Tennessee Titans defense that has allowed 1,523 passing yards and four passing touchdowns over the teams first five contests. The Colts quarterback threw for 356 yards with two touchdowns in week 4 against the same Titans defense.

6. George Kittle

Team: San Francisco 49ers

Position: Tight End

Week 7 Matchup: Green Bay Packers

After starting the season missing the teams first two contests, the San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is slowly regaining his form as an elite tight end.

Kittle, who ranks among the most expensive tight ends in DFS showdowns on Sunday, has the potential to continue his recent success.

Kittle has seen 16 targets over the past two games for 130 yards. In week 7 the 49ers tight end matchups up against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that allowed four touchdown receptions and six red zone targets.

5. Ezekiel Elliott / Tony Pollard

Team: Dallas Cowboys

Position: Running Back

Week 7 Matchup: Chicago Bears

Depending on whether you want to go expensive both Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard are solid options at a solid DFS salary cap figure.

As a DFS owner or season long fantasy owner we would love to see the Dallas Cowboys go to just one back however that isn’t the case, so it is a gamble depending on who you elect to go with each week.

Nonetheless, Elliott and Pollard land at number five on the Top 10 Fantasy Football Players to Start Week 7 of the 2022 NFL Schedule rankings list.

The Cowboys take on a Detroit Lions team that is allowing the 2nd most fantasy points per contest to opposing running backs entering week 7. On the year, the Lions defense has allowed 639 yards rushing, eight rushing touchdowns and 135 receiving yards to opposing running backs.

4. Patrick Mahomes

Team: Kansas City Chiefs

Position: Quarterback

Week 7 Matchup: Arizona Cardinals

The Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes is possibly the top fantasy option among quarterbacks during week 7 of the 2022 NFL Schedule.

Coming off his third straight game with at least two touchdown passes, Mahomes will look to continue that success against a San Francisco 49ers defense that struggled to slow down Marcus Mariota and the Atlanta Falcons offense during week 6. Mariota was able to throw for two touchdowns and rush for another in the 28-14 win.

3. Tyreek Hill

Team: Miami Dolphins

Position: Wide Receiver

Week 7 Matchup: Pittsburgh Steelers

The NFL’s leading receiver will have his shot to continue that success in Week 7 while also being the top fantasy wide receiver in week 7.

Hill as well as his teammate Jaylen Waddle have the top overall matchup at the wide receiver position against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that has struggled against the pass.

The Steelers defense has surrendered 1,263 passing yards and a league high nine touchdown catches to opposing wide receivers during the NFL schedule 2022.

On the year Hill has seen at least 12 targets in four of the first six games while topping the 160-yard mark in three contests. 

2. Josh Jacobs

Team: Las Vegas Raiders

Position: Running Back

Week 7 Matchup: Houston Texans

The Las Vegas Raiders have had their struggles to start the season however running back Josh Jacobs is slowly getting it started posting over 144 yards in back-to-back contests with at least one rushing touchdown.

In the teams last two contests, Jacobs has rushed for 298 yards with three rushing touchdowns. In addition, Jacobs has added at least five catches in three straight games adding overall value to his fantasy status.

Jacobs will have a solid matchup against a Houston Texans rush defense that has allowed 668 yards on the ground with five rushing touchdowns as well as 212 receiving.

1. Joe Burrow

Team: Cincinnati Bengals

Position: Quarterback

Week 7 Matchup: Atlanta Falcons

In at number one on the Top 10 Fantasy Football Players to Start Week 7 of the 2022 NFL Schedule rankings list is the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. Burrow and the Bengals offense has struggled including their offensive line to start the season.

However, the team’s offense is trending up as they prepare for a matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Burrow has thrown for at least 275 yards in three of the teams last four games while adding at least two touchdowns in those contests.

DFS owners should love the idea Burrow is facing a Falcons defense that has allowed the 8th most passing touchdowns in the NFL with eight to start the season.
