The 2022 NFL Schedule is set for opening kickoff on Thursday September 8th, 2022. With the season just around the corner, fantasy football drafts are heating up as football fans and fantasy football fans get excited for the upcoming NFL season.

One debate many football fans and fantasy football players are easy to debate is who is deserving of a Top 10 Fantasy Football Players Draft Rankings 2022 appearance.

As you begin to look around the NFL many great football players are well deserving of one of these top 10 spots. One of those NFL players is the Indianapolis Colts All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor.

Taylor ranked 1st in the NFL in rushing yards (1,811), rushing touchdowns (18), and first downs (107) Along with Taylor some of the other top fantasy football players entering 2022 include Najee Harris of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders, and Cooper Kupp of the Los Angeles Rams.

Here is your cheat sheet of the Top 10 Fantasy Football Rankings 2022:

Honorable Mention

Christian McCaffrey

Team: Carolina Panthers

Position: Running Back

Landing just outside of the Top 10 Fantasy Football Players Draft Rankings 2022 list is the Carolina Panthers stud running back Christian McCaffrey.

When healthy McCaffrey is well deserving of the top spot among this list. However, the former Stanford Cardinals running back has trouble staying healthy the past two seasons appearing in just 10 games over that stretch.

As a fantasy option, McCaffrey is a dual threat fantasy option for owners giving them a running back who can post both 1,000 yards rushing as well as 1,000 yards receiving.

Dalvin Cook

Team: Minnesota Vikings

Position: Running Back

Another stud fantasy football option is the Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook. Cook, who has posted at least 1,100 yards in three consecutive seasons, is one of the best pass catching running backs in the NFL and one that can take it to the house on nearly any play.

Cook has posted at least 34 catches in each of the past four seasons, while also posted double digit touchdowns in two of the past three seasons.

Unfortunately, he slides down the list a little after failing to appear in a full season with the Vikings since entering the NFL.

Top 10 Fantasy Football Players

10. Stefon Diggs

Team: Buffalo Bills

Position: Wide Receiver

When it comes to top tier fantasy football options, Stefon Diggs is one of those options and one wide receiver that continues to put up solid fantasy numbers each year.

Depending on whether you are in a Points Per Reception (PPR) league or not, will determine how high Diggs should land on the list.

Diggs is entering 2022 with four straight 1,000 yard receiving seasons while also posting at least 102 catches in three of those four seasons.

9. Joe Mixon

Team: Cincinnati Bengals

Position: Running Back

Coming in at number 9 on the Top 10 Fantasy Football Players Draft Rankings 2022 list is the Cincinnati Bengals workhorse running back Joe Mixon.

Mixon is coming off a 2021 NFL season ranked 3rd in rushing attempts (292), 3rd in rushing yards (1,205), 4th in rushing touchdowns (13), and 12th in receiving yards (42).

In three of the past four seasons, Mixon has rushed for at least 1,1,00 yards while carrying the ball at least 230 plus times.

8. Justin Jefferson

Team: Minnesota Vikings

Position: Wide Receiver

Another wide receiver lands on the list of the top fantasy football weapons entering the 2022 NFL season.

The Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver from LSU joins his teammate Dalvin Cook, as one of the top fantasy football players in the NFL.

Entering his third NFL season, Jefferson has racked up 3,016 receiving yards over 33 games played to go along with 17 touchdown receptions.

Only concern entering 2022, when deciding on drafting Jefferson comes with the play at quarterback for Kirk Cousins.

7. Ja’Marr Chase

Team: Cincinnati Bengals

Position: Wide Receiver

Heading into last season many fantasy football owners weren’t expecting the type of season that we saw from the rookie Ja’Marr Chase.

However, like his former LSU Tigers teammate Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase blew up as a rookie and was nearly unstoppable against any of the top cornerbacks in the NFL.

While defenses will look to slow down Chase in 2022, Cincinnati’s deep receiver corps makes it nearly impossible for opposing defenses to focus solely on Chase. Last season, the Bengals rookie reeled in 81 catches for 1,455 yards, and 13 touchdown receptions.

6. Najee Harris

Team: Pittsburgh Steelers

Position: Running Back

As the Pittsburgh Steelers begin to make their transition to a new quarterback, the team will rely heavily on the second year running back Najee Harris.

Harris, who played his college football with the Alabama Crimson Tide is coming off 307 carries as a rookie while reaching 1,200 rushing yards and seven touchdown receptions.

In addition, Harris provides his fantasy owners a dual threat weapon after pulling in 74 total catches last season. In PPR leagues, Harris has the potential to be a top three fantasy football player.

5. Davante Adams

Team: Las Vegas Raiders

Position: Wide Receiver

It’s hard to imagine Davante Adams being any better than he has the past few seasons with All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball.

That said the newly acquired Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver now lands with his former Fresno State teammate and quarterback Derek Carr.

Despite not having Rodgers throwing him the ball, expect Adams to be the primary wide receiver with a potential to top the 100 plus catch plateau for the fourth time over the past five seasons.

4. Derrick Henry

Team: Tennessee Titans

Position: Running Back

After fantasy football owners lost Derrick Henry for most of the 2021 NFL season due to his foot injury, the debate over how high the Tennessee Titans running back lands can be debated.

The Titans running back is expected to return to his work horse status in 2022 while delivering for his fantasy owners.

Despite playing in only eight games, Henry still ranked near the top in multiple statistics among all running backs while rushing for 937 yards to go along with 10 rushing touchdowns.

3. Austin Ekeler

Team: Los Angeles Chargers

Position: Running Back

Coming in at number three on the Top 10 Fantasy Football Players Draft Rankings 2022 list is the Los Angeles Chargers dual threat running back Austin Ekeler.

When you look at top tier fantasy football players, you start looking at fantasy players on top offensive teams.

That is the case with Ekeler who plays with a Top 10 quarterback, and multiple top tier wide receivers while making it difficult for opposing defenses to focus on just one player.

Ekeler value spikes for PPR leagues after coming off three straight seasons with at least 54 receptions.

2. Cooper Kupp

Team: Los Angeles Rams

Position: Wide Receiver

The debate over whether Cooper Kupp or Jonathan Taylor should land at the top spot among all fantasy football options is something that can be debated for days.

Nonetheless only one player can land at that spot and one at number two. The Los Angeles Rams All-Pro wide receiver lands at number two while strong concerns over Matthew Stafford’s elbow could have fantasy football owners concerned about entering fantasy football drafts.

Nonetheless, Kupp is as good as any receiver in the NFL with extreme route running abilities and the talent to pick up yards after the catch.

The Rams wide receiver should see plenty of targets in 2022 while holding up as one of the best receivers in the NFL.

1. Jonathan Taylor

Team: Indianapolis Colts

Position: Running Back

Landing at number one on the Top 10 Fantasy Football Players Draft Rankings 2022 list is the Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor.

Taylor, who played his college football for the Wisconsin Badgers is coming off leading the NFL in rushing attempts (332), rushing yards (1,811), and rushing touchdowns (18).

Much of that success came with struggling play at the quarterback position and teams focusing on shutting him down.

Now Taylor should benefit from having a solid quarterback under center in Matt Ryan, forcing opposing defenses to look at players such as Michael Pittman and Mo Alie-Cox.
