The 2022 NFL schedule is off and running as the first two weeks of the season are in the books. While a few teams have looked very good and a few other teams have looked very bad, a solid mix of the remaining teams have been good.

As team’s look to build momentum, pick up wins and solidify themselves among their respective divisions, the big question is which teams around the NFL are deserving of a spot on the Top 10 NFL Teams 2022 rankings September.

One of the hottest teams starting the season is the Buffalo Bills who used a blowout win on the opening night of the 2022 NFL season to blowout the defending Super Bowl Champions.

In addition to the Bills who are 2-0 to start the season, five other NFL teams are 2-0 to start the season including the Miami Dolphins.

The Bills and Dolphins currently sit tied atop the AFC East Conference while the other undefeated teams include the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here is a look at the Top 10 NFL Teams 2022 rankings September.

Honorable Mention

Pittsburgh Steelers

Previous: Honorable Mention #1

The Pittsburgh Steelers move on to a new generation while looking to replace the future Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback.

As the defense is as good as promised, many question marks with the team’s offense lands them just outside of the Top 10 NFL Teams 2022 rankings September list.

After a key 23-20 win over division rivals the Cincinnati Bengals, the Steelers fell 17-14 to the New England Patriots in week 2.

The Steelers offense ranks 28th in offensive yards per game (255) and 19th in points per game (18.5). Meanwhile their defense ranks held the high-power Bengals offense to just 20 points and the Patriots to just 17 points.

Upcoming Matchups: @ Cleveland Browns (9/22/22), New York Jets (10/2/2022)

Green Bay Packers

Previous: #6

Entering the 2022 NFL season many questions were asked about the Green Bay Packers including how the team would move past the departure of All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams.

Those questions were still left open after a disappointing week 1 loss that saw Aaron Rodgers fail to throw for a touchdown.

Despite those struggles, the Packers bounced back in week 2 with a key win over division rivals the Chicago Bears.

The Packers rank 7th in the NFL in fewest points allowed per game (16.5) and 10th in fewest yards allowed per game (311.5).

Upcoming Matchups: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9/25/2022), New England Patriots (10/2/22)

Top 10 NFL Teams

10. New York Giants

Previous: Unranked

Despite being one of the six undefeated teams in the NFL, the New York Giants find themselves at number 10 on the Top 10 NFL Teams 2022 rankings September list.

The Giants have done just enough to start the season outscoring their opponents 40-36 while finding themselves in the middle of the pack in yards in points scored (20), 21st in yards per game (329.5), and 12th in yards allowed per game (317).

Saquon Barkley has been strong to start the season rushing for 236 yards over the teams first two games and scoring two touchdowns.

Upcoming Matchups: Dallas Cowboys (9/26/2022), Chicago Bears (10/2/2022)

9. Baltimore Ravens

Previous: #7

For three quarters the Baltimore Ravens were on a roll to move to 2-0 on the year before the Miami Dolphins outscored them 28-3 in the fourth quarter.

Despite the loss, the Ravens are still a dangerous team to watch out for and one that should stick around for most of the season.

Lamar Jackson has looked great to start the season throwing for 531 yards with six touchdowns to just one interception while adding 136 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.

Concerns with the defense are still alarming after failing to shut down the Dolphins offense after taking the lead late while the rushing attack outside of Jackson has struggled.

Upcoming Matchups: @ New England Patriots (9/25/2022), Buffalo Bills (10/2/2022)

8. Minnesota Vikings

Previous: Unranked

After an impressive 23-7 win to open the regular season against division rivals the Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Vikings failed to get any offense going in week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Vikings defense has been solid to start the season, holding their opponents to just 31 points over the first two games despite allowing 412 yards per game.

Meanwhile the Vikings offense has been the major concern scoring just 30 combined points over their first two games.

In addition, the Vikings have struggled to move the ball on the ground while Dalvin Cook has racked up just 107 yards on the ground and zero touchdowns.

7. Los Angeles Rams

Previous: #3

The famous Super Bowl hangover showed up early as the Los Angeles Rams failed to get it going in week 1 against a very good Buffalo Bills team.

In that contest the offense failed to find any consistency scoring just 10 points, while the defense showed holes including the departure of stud pass rusher Von Miller.

Despite the slow start, the Rams were able to bounce back in a close matchup against the Atlanta Falcons while All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey saved the team from an 0-2 start to the season. The Rams inability to run the football will create issues for the team’s passing attack.

Upcoming Matchups: @ Arizona Cardinals (9/25/2022), @ San Francisco 49ers (10/2/2022)

6. Los Angeles Chargers

Previous: #9

Head coaching around the NFL can play a key role in the final score every week and the Los Angeles Chargers have had struggles with this over the past few seasons.

Nonetheless the Chargers have had the opportunity to win football games in week 1 and week 2 against two division opponents.

In the end the Chargers won a 24-19 opener against the Las Vegas Raiders while dropping a close one on the road at Arrowhead against a very good Kansas City Chiefs team.

The Chargers currently rank 10th in total yards per game (378), 13th in fewest yards allowed per game (319.5), and 7th in rushing yards allowed per game (78.5).

Upcoming Matchups: Jacksonville Jaguars (9/25/2022), @ Houston Texans (10/2/2022)

5. Philadelphia Eagles

Previous: Unranked

Landing at number five on the Top 10 NFL Teams 2022 rankings September is the Philadelphia Eagles. Possibly one of the most impressive teams in the NFL to start the 2022 NFL season has been the Eagles who currently sit tied atop the NFC East with the New York Giants.

The Eagles offense has been as good as nearly any team in the NFL ranking 1st in yards per game (470.5), 2nd in rushing yards per game (189.5), and tied for 4th in points per game (31 ppg).

Much of their success has come from protecting the football, turning it over just one time over their first two games while forcing four takeaways.

On offense Jalen Hurts has been brilliant throwing for 576 yards, rushing for 147 yards and combining for four touchdowns.

Upcoming Matchups: @ Washington Redskins (9/25/22), Jacksonville Jaguars (10/2/22)

4. Miami Dolphins

Previous: Unranked

After a busy offseason of spending including adding the talented Tyreek Hill to their offensive attack, the Miami Dolphins currently sit as one of the six teams in the NFL undefeated.

The 2-0 start has the fans of the Dolphins excited and thinking about the playoffs. However, with a long season to go the Dolphins need to stay consistent after showing the rest of the league their high-powered offense in their last fourth quarter comeback against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Dolphins have outscored their opponents by 17 points to start the season while Tua Tagovailoa leads the NFL in passing yards (739) and Tyreek Hill leads the NFL in receiving yards (284).

Could the Dolphins be for real in 2022? Only time will tell with two difficult matchups sitting ahead of them on the schedule.

Upcoming Matchups: Buffalo Bills (9/25/2022), @ Cincinnati Bengals (9/29/2022)

3. Kansas City Chiefs

Previous: #8

All the offseason talk about the potential struggles of the Kansas City Chiefs and more so on the offensive side of the ball, the team continues to play as one of the best teams in the league.

As the offense has moved on from the departure of Tyreek Hill, the rest of the team has stepped up including Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes has completed nearly 73 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns to zero interceptions to start the season.

One of the teams two wins came against a very good Los Angeles Chargers team looking to dethrone them a top the AFC West, while the first win came against a potential playoff team in the Arizona Cardinals.

Upcoming Matchups: @Indianapolis Colts (9/25/22), @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10/2/2022)

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Previous: #1

It has not been pretty to start the 2022 NFL schedule for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the team has been able to pick up wins in each of their first two games.

As the offense has struggled scoring just 39 points over their first two contests, the team’s defense has been advertised while allowing just 13 points.

The Buccaneers defense currently ranks 1sts in points allowed per game (6.5), 5th in yards allowed per game (276), and 4th in takeaways (6).

In addition, having Tom Brady under center gives the Bucs an advantage over most teams as he continues to find ways to help lead his team to wins.

Upcoming Matchups: Green Bay Packers (9/25/2022), Kansas City Chiefs (10/2/2022)

1. Buffalo Bills

Previous: #2

Sitting alone as the best team in the NFL through the first few weeks of September, the Buffalo Bills continue to play as a team on a mission. That mission is to finally bring home a Super Bowl Championship to the city of Buffalo.

Leading that charge is an offense loaded with fire power including potential NFL MVP Josh Allen and wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The Bills currently rank 1st in the NFL in points per game (36) and 3rd in the NFL in yards per game (413.5).

Meanwhile on the defensive side of the ball the team leads the NFL with seven takeaways including five interceptions while allowing the 2nd fewest yards per game (215), and points per game (8.5). The real test sits in front of them with key road games against two of the other top teams in the NFL.

Upcoming Matchups: @ Miami Dolphins (9/25/22), @ Baltimore Ravens (10/2/22)
