Óscar Larios was a Mexican professional boxer who had an impressive boxing career between 1994 and 2009

He held world titles in two weight classes. At super bantamweight, he held the WBC title for a little over two years and made 7 successful title defenses. 

Óscar Larios retired with a record of 63 wins, 7 losses, and 1 draw.

9. Israel Vázquez

Israel Vázquez is a Mexican former professional boxer who had a very successful boxing career between 1995 and 2010. 

He was a three-time super bantamweight world champion. He won the IBF Super Bantamweight title once, and the unified WBC and the Ring titles twice. He made 5 successful title defenses at super bantamweight. 

Vázquez retired with a record of 44 wins and 5 losses.

8. Wilfredo Vázquez

Wilfredo Vázquez is a former professional boxer from Puerto Rico who stayed active between 1981 and 2002.

He was a three-weight world champion and held world titles at bantamweight, super bantamweight, and featherweight. He became the WBA Super Bantamweight champion in 1992, and held the title for over three years, making 9 successful title defenses. 

Vázquez retired from boxing with a record of 56 wins, 9 losses, 2 draws, and 1 no-contest.

7. Kennedy McKinney

Next up, we have Kennedy McKinney, an American boxer who competed as a professional between 1989 and 2003.

He won multiple titles at super bantamweight, including the IBF and WBO super-bantamweight world titles. He also defended the IBF title and impressive 6 times. 

McKinney retired with a record of 36 wins and 6 losses.

6. Guillermo Rigondeaux

Guillermo Rigondeaux is a professional boxer from Cuba. He started his professional career back in and is still active. 

He has held world titles in two weight classes, and at super bantamweight, he reigned as the unified WBA, WBO, and the Ring champion. Additionally, he made an impressive 10 successful title defenses at super bantamweight. 

Rigondeaux currently has a record of 22 wins and 3 losses.

5. Daniel Zaragoza

Daniel Zaragoza was a professional boxer from Mexico, and his career spanned from 1980 to 1997

He won world titles in two weight classes and became the WBC super bantamweight champion three times. Through his three title reigns, he defended the WBC title an impressive 11 times. 

Zaragoza retired with a record of 55–8–3 and was inducted into the international boxing Hall of Fame in 2005.

4. Vuyani Bungu

Vuyani Bungu was a professional boxer from South Africa who enjoyed an impressive boxing career spanning from 1987 to 2005

He won world titles in two weight classes, but his best performances came at super bantamweight, where he reigned as the IBF Super Bantamweight world champion for the better part of 5 years. He defended his title an impressive 13 times before moving up in weight. 

Bangu retired with a record of 39 wins and 5 losses.

3. Marco Antonio Barrera

Marco Antonio Barrera was a professional boxer from Mexico who stayed active between 1989 and 2011

He held multiple world titles in three different world classes and is a three-time WBO super bantamweight world champion. Through his three title reigns, he had 13 successful title defenses. 

Marco Antonio Barrera retired with a record of 67–7 and was inducted into the international boxing Hall of Fame in 2017.

2. Erik Morales

Erik Morales was a Mexican boxer who competed professionally between 1993 and 2012. 

He held world titles in four different weight classes and was the first Mexican boxer to achieve this feat. He held the WBC Super bantamweight title for almost three years, with nine successful title defenses. He also won the WBO Super Bantamweight title. 

Morales retired with a record of 52–9 and was recently inducted into the international boxing Hall of Fame in 2018.

1. Wilfredo Gomez

Wilfredo Gomez was a professional boxer from Puerto Rico who stayed active between 1974 and 1989.

Gomez won world titles in three different weight classes, but he did his best work at super bantamweight, where he reigned as the WBC and The Ring super bantamweight world champion. He made an incredible 17 title defenses at super bantamweight. 

Wilfredo Gomez concluded his illustrious boxing career with a record of 44-3-1 and was inducted into the international boxing Hall of Fame in 1995.
