The greatest basketball players in the World all suit up on the hardwood night in and night out across the NBA showcasing their talent to everyone. From the likes of Kevin Durant to LeBron James to Joel Embiid to Steph Curry, the list could go on and on to include at least 40 to 50 of the game’s top stars.

However, only the Top 10 NBA Players in the NBA can make the list while opening the door for everyone to debate which stars should make the list.

As you look around the NBA, the game is made up of a great supporting cast of stars that are emerging as the future of the NBA as well as some of the games greatest players of All-Time to include James, Durant as well as Giannis Antetokounmpo.

While those stars continue their dominance the next wave of stars such as JA Morant, Luka Doncic and Trae Young have slowly imprinted their greatness on the NBA.

With that said, here is our list of the Top 10 NBA Players as of March 15th, 2022

Honorable Mention

DeMar DeRozan

Team: Chicago Bulls

The biggest surprise around the NBA during the 2021-22 NBA Schedule has been the success of the Chicago Bulls to start the season. Much of this success is due to the acquisition of talented small forward DeMar DeRozan who elected to join the team after spending the past three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.

DeRozan is averaging a career high 28 points per game while sitting tied for 5th in the NBA in scoring with fellow All-Star Luka Doncic. In addition to the career high in points per game, DeRozan is averaging 5.4 rebounds per game to go along with 5.1 assists per game.

Jayson Tatum

Team: Boston Celtics

It’s nearly impossible not to put Jayson Tatum on the Top 10 NBA Players as of March 15th, 2022, rankings list. Tatum, who has the Boston Celtics cruising of late winning seven of their past ten games, continues to be nearly unstoppable for opponents.

Tatum, who ranks 8th in the NBA in scoring entering Mid-March, has averaged 36.7 points per game in March while posting 7.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. The King has returned to the top ten list after turning on his production and continues to display why he is one of the GOAT’s (Greatest of All-Time) of the NBA. James is averaging 32.8 points per game to go along with 9.3 rebounds and five assists over his last 10 games.

The Los Angeles Lakers star ranks 2nd in the NBA in scoring averaging 29.7 points per game while ranking 30th in rebounds (8.2 rpg) and 18th in assists (6.2). While the 37-year-old is the oldest name on this list, he still continues to produce as one of the top stars around the game. Just recently, he is now 2nd on the All-Time Scoring List passing Karl Malone.

9. Donovan Mitchell

Team: Utah Jazz

When you look at the success the Utah Jazz has had within the Western Conference, it comes down to the play of Rudy Gobert and three-time All-Star Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell, who the team drafted with their 13th overall pick during the 2017 NBA Draft continues to develop into one of the top stars of the NBA.

Mitchell currently ranks 12th in the NBA in scoring (25.5 ppg) while also averaging at least 5.5 assists per game and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the field.

8. JA Morant

Team: Memphis Grizzlies

There is nothing not to like about the former Murray State Racers star JA Morant’s game and his ability to be a true leader while helping guide Memphis to the second-best record in the NBA.

Morant who was selected number two overall during the 2019 NBA Draft has taken home an NBA Rookie of the Year Award, made the All-Star team and currently have the Grizzlies on track for another trip to the playoffs as the third seed in the Western Conference.

Over the Grizzlies past ten contests, Morant is averaging 32.5 points per game to go along with 5.4 rebounds and 6.6 assists while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field (49.1 percent).

7. Trae Young

Team: Atlanta Hawks

These next two stars Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks will be intertwined for their entire NBA careers after being traded for one another after being drafted and then putting together two of the greatest starts to NBA careers we have seen.

Coming in at number seven is the Atlanta Hawks sharp shooting point guard, Young who is putting together another brilliant season. Young is ranked 4th in the NBA in scoring averaging 28.3 points per game and 3rd in assists per game posting nearly 10 per game (9.4 apg).

In addition, Young is shooting a career high 45.8 percent form the field and 38.4 percent from behind the three-point line this season.

6. Luka Doncic

Team: Dallas Mavericks

One of the hottest teams in the NBA the Dallas Mavericks continue to witness greatness on display night in and night out on the hardwood as Luka Doncic continues to dominate opponents. Doncic is one of only a few players in the NBA to rank inside the top 20 in rebounds (17th), points (5th) and assists (5th).

Over his last nine games, Doncic has averaged a double double averaging 32.7 points per game to go along with 10.6 rebounds while contributing 6.7 assists per game. On the year, Doncic has recorded nine triple doubles from the point guard position while averaging 28 points per game, 9.3 rebounds per game and 8.6 assists.

5. Stephen Curry

Team: Golden State Warriors

When you see possibly the best three-point shooter in history sitting at number five on the list of the Top 10 NBA Players as of March 15th, 2022, you know the NBA is loaded with a ton of talent.

Curry, who has struggled at times this season continues to be an assassin from behind the three-point line and one of the toughest shooters in the NBA to guard. The Golden State Warriors star is averaging 25.8 points per game to go with 5.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists while making a league high 4.5 three-point shots per game.

4. Joel Embiid

Team: Philadelphia 76ers

The NBA scoring leader continues to dominate night in and night out as raises the expectations of the Philadelphia 76ers to the top of the Eastern Conference. Embiid, who is averaging a career high 29.9 points per game, has done most of his work this season without a top tier star before adding James Harden to the roster.

With Harden on the floor, opposing defenses have their hands full as they attempt to slow down two of the top stars in the NBA. Embiid currently ranks 1st in the NBA in scoring (29.9 ppg), 8th in rebounds (11.3 rpg) and 44th in assists (4.3 apg).

3. Nikola Jokic

Team: Denver Nuggets

After taking home the NBA MVP during the 2021 NBA Season and making his fourth straight NBA All-Star team, Nikola Jokic has the opportunity to take home his second straight MVP award while showcasing how key he is to the success of the Denver Nuggets franchise.

No other player in the NBA has done more for his team as Jokic leads the Nuggets in scoring, rebounds, assists, blocked shots and steals per game while ranking inside of the top 10 in points, rebounds and assists among all NBA players. Jokic is averaging 26 points per game to go along with 13.8 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game.

2. Kevin Durant

Team: Brooklyn Nets

When Kevin Durant is not on the floor the NBA is missing possibly the best player in the entire NBA. Durant is a prolific scorer, dominant defender and one player who can nearly do anything he wants to on the hardwood at any time.

While Durant’s name might not show up in the overall rankings due to his games missed, the Brooklyn Nets star continues to play at a high level any time he takes the floor. Durant is averaging 29.6 points per game to go along with 7.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists while keeping the Nets within the hunt for a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference.

1. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Team: Milwaukee Bucks

Not to take anything away from the other stars on this list but the Milwaukee Bucks All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player in the NBA and one of the top stars to take to the hardwood.

The Greek Freak as referred to by his teammates and fans around the World, is a freakish star who continues to shine at will against the game’s top stars. Entering play in Mid-March, Antetokounmpo ranks 3rd in the NBA in scoring averaging 29.7 points per game, 5th in the NBA in rebounds per game (11.5 rpg) and 19th in assists (5.9 apg).
