Landing just outside of the Top 10 MLB Rookies 2023 Rankings list is the New York Yankees relief pitcher Ian Hamilton.

Hamilton has pitched to a 1.35 earned run average over 13 outings to start the season while recording one save over 20 innings of work.

Miguel Vargas

Coming in at number 10 on the Top 10 MLB Rookies 2023 Rankings list is the Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder Ji Hwan Bae. Bae joined the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2018 and made his MLB debut late during the 2022 MLB season at 22 years old.

In 95 at bats this season Bae has posted a .232 batting average to go along with two home runs, nine runs batted in, a .607 OPS and 14 stolen bases. The 14 stolen bases ranks 2nd among all MLB rookies to start the MLB season.

The Houston Astros have had a knack of finding talent all over the baseball diamond and Hunter Brown is the latest prospect to turn into a Rookie of the Year candidate.

While the season is early, Brown has looked solid as a member of the Astros starting rotation over his first seven starts. Brown leads all MLB rookies with seven starts and innings pitched with 39 total innings.

Over that stretch the Astros starter has logged the second most innings with 39 among all rookies early on as the MLB season approaches Mid-May.

8. Esteury Ruiz

As you look around as some of the top rookies around baseball the Oakland A’s have talented rookies that are well worth consideration. One of those rookies is Esteury Ruiz who currently leads all MLB rookies with 39 hits over his first 142 at bats this season.

In addition to leading rookies in hits, Ruiz has swiped an MLB league leading 17 stolen bases to start 2023. The rich get richer is a saying that makes its round, and it is a great saying to go along with the Los Angeles Dodgers. While moving on from a player like Cody Bellinger the Dodgers opened up the door for Outman to move into an everyday role and he has made it pay off for the club.
