Top 10 Best NHL Right Wingers of the 2023-2024 Season

With the 2023-2024 NHL regular season nearing its end, now seems like the perfect moment to spotlight the standout NHL Right Wingers gracing the ice this year. Below, we delve into the Top 10 Best NHL Right Wings 2024 Rankings of the season as it currently stands.

Honorable Mention

Mark Stone

Team: Vegas Golden Knights

Mark Stone’s career looked in jeopardy last year when he had two separate back surgeries in a nine-month span. However, Stone has amassed 53 points this season and scored 16 goals.

This time last year, Mark Stone’s career looked to be coming to a close. But he has shown that he still has a lot left in the tank and can be a valuable member of the Golden Knights roster.

Top 10 NHL Right Wings 2024 Rankings

10. Jonathan Marchessault

Team: Vegas Golden Knights

Marchessault leads the Vegas Golden Knights in both points and goals, ahead of Jack Eichel and William Karlsson, and is on pace to match his 2017-18 career-high points tally. He currently sits with 67 points and 41 goals this year.

Marchessault has been pivotal for the Golden Knights’s push for the playoffs this season and showing that in his 11th season, he is as valuable as ever.

9. Adrian Kempe

Team: Los Angeles Kings

Adrian Kempe has accounted for 71 points this season, a career-best for the Kings veteran. He has also scored 27 goals in his 72 appearances on the ice this year.

However, Kempe has spent more time in the penalty box than ever before this season.

The Kings will make the playoffs this year and will need their top point scorer Adrian Kempe to stay on form in order to progress.

8. Brock Boeser

Team: Vancouver Canucks

When Brock Boeser entered the league in 2015 he had the potential to become a star player in the NHL. However, he has had injury issues that have hampered his success. So much so, that there were rumors of the Canucks trading him a few years back.

Boeser has played the most games in his career this year, which has led to career highs of 40 goals and 73 points. The 26-year-old looks to have found his groove and could easily be much higher on this list in years to come.

7. Clayton Keller

Team: Arizona Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes entered the season with one of the youngest and most inexperienced teams in the league, which left Clayton Keller, at just 25 years old looking like a veteran.

Keller has been one of the very few bright sparks on the Coyotes this year as he’s climbed the franchise’s all-time leaderboards. With 33 goals and 73 points, he leads the team, and he undoubtedly has a bright future ahead of him, whether he stays in Tucson long-term or not.

6. Mitch Marner

Team: Toronto Maple Leafs

Although this might not be the most exceptional season of his career, Mitch Marner remains one of the most productive wingers in the game as he takes #6 on the Top 10 Best NHL Right Wings of 2024.

Marner has scored 25 goals and 78 points this season in the Maple Leafs chase for the Atlantic division title.

Marner has been continually productive for years and has been a factor in Toronto reaching the playoffs for eight consecutive years. But Mitch typically doesn’t exert as significant an influence in other facets of the game compared to those ranked higher on this list.

5. William Nylander

Team: Toronto Maple Leafs

For a while, Maple Leaf fans often perceived William Nylander to be a notch below other star forwards Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews. Yet recently, Nylander has flipped that narrative and the Swedish winger has shown he belongs in that conversation, if not even higher.

With 40 goals and 96 points, Nylander will almost certainly surpass 100 points for the first time in his career. Proving that he is worth every penny of his heavily questioned $92 million contract extension.

4. Mikko Rantanen

Team: Colorado Avalanche

Mikko Rantanen is often overlooked as he plays on the same team as two of the best players in the league, Nate MacKinnon and Cale Makar. However, those who watch him on the ice will see how elite he really is.

The Finish had a slow start to the season. Something he has more than made up for through the bulk of the year as he found the form we have come to expect from him.

With 102 points, Rantanen has surpassed the ton mark for the second consecutive season and has added 40 goals to Colorado’s quest for another Stanley Cup.

3. David Pastrnak

Team: Boston Bruins

After Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci’s retirements, many thought the Boston Bruins would be set for a rebuild. But they will most likely win the Atlantic Division, with compliments to David Pastrnak.

But in their 100th season in the league, David Pastrnak has been the shining light for the Bruins and carried them on his back with 47 goals and 107 points.

Expect the 27-year-old to continue to find the net and rack up points for the Bruins in the tail-end of the season. And the team will rely heavily on him to find any success in the post-season.

2. Sam Reinhart

Team: Florida Panthers

Sam Reinhart couldn’t have timed his career peak more perfectly. As he approaches unrestricted free agency at the conclusion of the season, the 28-year-old has delivered an astounding season-long performance, tallying an impressive 53 goals and 90 points in 78 games. He trails only Auston Matthews in total goals this season.

Reinhart is poised for a big payday in the offseason, whether it is with the Florida Panthers or not, as he has established himself as one of the best wingers in the league.

1. Nikita Kucherov

Team: Tampa Bay Lightning

What more can be said about Nikita Kucherov? The 30-year-old has solidified his status as one of the NHL’s top five players for numerous seasons, and there are absolutely no indications of his pace diminishing.

The Maple Leafs have secured a playoff birth for the eighth straight year, and in large part, it is down to Nikita Kucherov.

Kucherov leads the entire NHL in points with 136, which will likely see him win his second Art Ross Trophy. Not that he needs it, as he already possesses the accolades of being a future hall of famer. But at just 30 years old, the Russian has plenty left to give and will likely run rampant over the NHL for years to come. He is without a doubt the best Right Winger the league has to offer. He takes the spot as the best NHL Right Wing of 2024.

How would you rank these NHL right wings after the 2023-2024 season? Rank below to be added in the NHL Power Rankings.
