The 2025 college football season showcased a remarkable class of interior linemen who combined raw power with technical precision, anchoring some of the nation’s most explosive offenses while protecting quarterbacks and creating running lanes that produced All-American backs. From the Pacific Northwest to the Deep South, from major conference powerhouses to service academies, this season’s elite guards demonstrated the evolution of the position.

They weren’t just massive bodies occupying space, they were athletic movers in space, intelligent communicators at the line of scrimmage, and relentless competitors who set the tone for their teams.

Honorable Mention

Omar Aibedion

School: Baylor Bears

Draft Status: NFL Draft

The first player to crack our Top 10 College Football Offensive Guards 2025-2026 rankings as an honorable mention, is the Baylor Bears senior Omar Aigbedion.

Aigbedion became Baylor’s first guard to earn All-American honors since Cyril Richardson in 2013. The six foot three inch, 310-pound senior from Katy, Texas, transferred from Montana State and immediately transformed the Bears’ offensive line since arriving before the start of the 2024-2025 season.

The game film showcased his strong play at the guard position while his stat line that included zero sacks and just two quarterback hits warrants him strong consideration among the best guards in the nation. In addition his strong play helped to solidify the Bears offensive line play and contribute to the team’s success averaging 451.1 yards per game and 31.1 points per game this season.

Now the Bears talented guard will look to make the jump to the pro level during the 2026 NFL Draft.

Logan Parr

School: SMU Mustangs

Draft Status: NFL Draft

When the SMU Mustangs made the jump from the American Athletic Conference to the ACC, questions swirled about whether their offensive line could compete at a higher level.

Ultimately the transition has been strong for the Mustangs after another strong 9-4 season within the ACC conference. Helping to elevate the team’s success on the offensive side of the football was senior offensive guard Logan Parr who capped off a strong collegiate career while earning Second-Team All-ACC honors. Parr who allowed zero sacks during his senior season played a vital role in the Mustangs success allowing just 19 total sacks during the 2025-2026 season.

In addition quarterback Kevin Jennings finished the season throwing for 3,641 yards with 26 passing touchdowns. The versatility and technical soundness made him a Dave Campbell’s Texas Football All-Texas midseason honoree and earned him a spot on the Lombardi Award Watch List.

10. Febechi Nwaiwu

School: Oklahoma Sooners

Rounding out the back half of the Top 10 College Football Offensive Guards 2025-2026 rankings list is the talented Oklahoma Sooners senior guard Febechi Nwaiwu.

After starting his career at North Texas, Nwaiwu made the transition to the Sooners before the start of the 2024-2025 season, a move that not only rewarded the Sooners but also elevated Nwaiwu among the best guards in the country. Nwaiwu’s ability to anchor against powerful defensive tackles while demonstrating the agility to reach the second level made him one of the SEC’s most respected interior linemen.

The strong play up front earned the Sooners guard both All-American and All-SEC honors after appearing in 13 games this season. The versatile guard showcased smooth transition from both the right and left guard spots this season while delivering strong blocking both in run and pass situations.

9. Will Jeffcoat

School: Army Black Knights

Draft Status: NFL Draft

The lone senior starter on Army’s 2025 offensive line, Will Jeffcoat anchored a unit that dominated time of possession like few others in college football history.

The six foot two inch, 305-pound guard from Pelion, South Carolina, started every game at left guard for the Black Knights, helping them rank first nationally in time of possession at 34 minutes, 27 seconds per game while also finishing the season ranked third in the nation while averaging 254.9 rushing yards per game.  Named second-team All-America by the Football Writers Association of America, Jeffcoat became the first Army guard to earn such distinction since the program’s Joe Moore Award-winning 2024 season.

His road-grading run blocking was instrumental in quarterback Cale Hellums rushing for 1,223 yards and 18 touchdowns, marking the first time since at least 1995 that an Army quarterback recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard, 10-touchdown seasons. Ultimately, Jeffcoat solidified a Black Knights offensive line that mauled defenders while relying on their heavy rushing attack to win football games.

8. Luke Montgomery

School: Ohio State Buckeyes

Draft Status: Returning to Ohio State 

From “humbled” to honored, Luke Montgomery’s journey epitomizes the patience and development required to succeed in Columbus.

The six foot five, 308-pound junior from Findlay, Ohio, started all 14 games at the left guard position this past season while earning Second-Team All-Big Ten honors. During the regular season, Montgomery was nearly flawless in pass protection, not allowing a single sack and yielding just 10 total pressures in 366 pass-blocking snaps according to Pro Football Focus.

His emergence as a full-time starter came after a humbling 2024 campaign where he played just 77 total snaps in a backup role, including limited action during Ohio State’s national championship run. Despite his jump to full time status, Montgomery helped the Buckeyes remain as effective as any team in the nation on offense while competing for both the Big Ten Championship and during the College Football Playoffs.

7. Ar’maj Reed-Adams

School: Texas A&M Aggies

Draft Status: NFL Draft

Built like a freight train at six foot five inches and 330 pounds, Ar’maj Reed-Adams returned to his home state of Texas after beginning his career at Kansas and became a team captain for the Texas A&M Aggies in 2025.

The DeSoto native who transferred to College Station before the 2024 season continued his dominance at right guard during his senior year after electing to skip the 2025 NFL Draft. The move paid off both for the talented guard as well as for the Aggies as the team finished the season as one of the teams in the nation to rank in the Top 35 in total offense, scoring offense, rushing offense, passing offense, passing efficiency and time of possession.

The success earned Reed-Adams Second-Team All American and All-SEC selections while the Aggies made another run at the College Football Playoffs.

6. Kwabena Asamoah

School: Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Draft Status: Returning to Rutgers

The journey from unknown to one of the top guards in the country has been remarkable for Kwabena Asamoah of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Asamoah has been vital to the success of the Scarlet Knights offense including the team’s rushing attack that featured their second 1,000 yard running back with Asamoah anchoring down the guard position. The six foot two inch, 311-pound senior started all 12 games at right guard in 2025, his 25th consecutive start at the position while anchoring a Rutgers offense that achieved historic success. Named second-team All-America by ESPN, Asamoah joined Emmanuel Pregnon, Keylan Rutledge, and Vega Ioane as the guards honored on ESPN’s prestigious list.

His blocking helped running back Antwan Raymond rush for 1,241 yards, marking the second consecutive season Asamoah blocked for a 1,000-yard rusher. The Scarlet Knights’ offense averaged 389.1 yards per game in Big Ten play, the best mark since joining the conference in 2014, and featured a 3,000-yard passer, 1,000-yard rusher, and 1,000-yard receiver for only the second time in program history. Asamoah’s consistency earned him honorable mention All-Big Ten honors while also announcing he would return for his senior season.

5. Evan Tengesdahl

School: Cincinnati Bearcats

Draft Status: Returning to Cincinnati

Closing out the Top 5 on the Top 10 College Football Offensive Guards 2025-2026 rankings list is the talented CIncinnati Bearcats guard Evan Tengesdahl.

The talented Bearcats guard who will be returning for his redshirt junior season, capped off his second full time season taking home Third-Team All-American honors as well as Second-Team All-Big 12 honors. The versatile guard who started all 13 games at left guard finished off the season allowing zero sacks while leading a Bearcats line that finished second in the nation with only eight sacks allowed across the entire 2025-2026 season.

His decision to return for 2026 alongside left tackle Joe Cotton and right guard Taran Tyo gives the Bearcats one of the nation’s most experienced interior offensive lines.

4. Keylan Rutledge

School: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Draft Status: NFL Draft

Overcoming a severe foot injury sustained in a December 2023 car accident that forced him to miss nearly the entire 2024 offseason including all of spring practice, Keylan Rutledge delivered back-to-back first-team All-American seasons for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The six foot four, 330-pound senior from Royston, Georgia, a vital piece to the Yellow Jackets success while finishing the season ranked 11th in the nation while averaging 460 yards per game including 197.5 yards per game on the ground. Rutledge capped off his brilliant career allowing zero sacks over his two seasons with the Yellow Jackets while also earning All-ACC and All-American honors at the guard position.

The recipient of the ACC’s Brian Piccolo Award for 2025, which honors the conference’s most courageous player, Rutledge graduated from Georgia Tech in December with a degree in history, technology and society while preparing for the NFL Draft.

3. Beau Stephens

School: Iowa Hawkeyes

Draft Status: NFL Draft

Over the years the Iowa Hawkeyes have been known for their ability to recruit, develop and produce top tier offensive lineman.

That is the case with their latest prized lineman Beau Stephens who is expected to be one of the top offensive lineman off the board when the 2026 NFL Draft kicks off. Resilience defines Stephens’ remarkable career at Iowa, culminating in a 2025 season where he earned first-team All-American honors from the Associated Press, USA Today, and Pro Football Focus. The six foot five, 315-pound senior from Blue Springs, Missouri, started all 13 games at left guard as part of an Iowa offensive line that won the prestigious Joe Moore Award, given annually to college football’s best offensive line unit.

After allowing zero sacks during his final season and helping talented running back Kaleb Johnson rush for 1,537 yards and 21 rushing touchdowns,  Stephens took home multiple individual honors including being selected as a First-Team All-Big Ten selection among the coaches as well as Second-Team All-American honors. Now the talented guard will look to take his success to the NFL as one of the next great young guards in the league.

2. Olaivavega Loane

School: Penn State Nittany Lions

Draft Status: NFL Draft

Built like a fortress at six foot four and 328 pounds, Olaivavega Loane developed from a three-star recruit who didn’t play football until his sophomore year of high school into one of the nation’s most dominant interior linemen.

Starting all 16 games at left guard for Penn State in 2024 during their College Football Playoff semifinal run, Ioane earned second-team All-Big Ten honors before elevating his game even further in 2025. His combination of overwhelming size, functional strength, and surprising mobility created a high floor that NFL scouts drool over. That decision paid dividends as he became the anchor of Penn State’s offensive line, ranking second nationally among guards in many projection systems for the 2026 NFL Draft.

His jarring power in both hips and hands allows him to excavate defenders in the run game, while his ability to handle and pass off stunts makes him equally valuable in pass protection. The strong play landed Loane both First-Team All-American and First-Team All-Big Ten selections while also seeing his draft stock jump leading into the 2026 NFL Draft.

1. Emmanuel Pregnon

School: Oregon Ducks

Draft Status: NFL Draft

The top guard honor in our Top 10 College Football Offensive Guards 2025-2026 rankings heads to the Oregon Ducks talented guard Emmanuel Pregnon. Pregnon capped an incredible journey from unranked recruit to consensus first-team All-American.

The six foot five, 318-pound senior from Denver transferred from USC to Oregon for his final season and delivered one of the most dominant performances by a guard in college football history. Named first-team All-American by both the Associated Press and The Sporting News, along with second-team recognition from the AFCA and Walter Camp Foundation, Pregnon also earned first-team All-Big Ten honors from coaches, media, and the AP.

The talented guard helped solidify a Ducks offense team that was named a finalist for the Joe Moore Award for the best offensive line in college football. The talented senior capped off his final season allowing zero sacks while helping the Ducks rank 11th in the nation in scoring (36.9) while averaging 452.2 yards per game on the ground.
