Point Guards

Luka Doncic

Team: Dallas Mavericks

2021 Stats: 28.4 PPG, 9.1 RPG, 8.7 APG

Coming in as the top Point Guard is the Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic. The Maverick’s star is a play making guard who can take it to the rack or dish out a no-look pass to set up a teammate.

Riding the strong play of their MVP candidate the Mavericks have played into the postseason as the potential 4th seed in a very talented Western Conference where they finished in the conference finals losing 4-1.

In the playoffs, Doncic stepped his game up from his regular season stats averaging 31.7 PPG, 9.8 RPG, and 6.4 APG.

Runner Up: Trae Young – Atlanta Hawks

Shooting Guards

Devin Booker

Team: Phoenix Suns

2021 Stats: 26.8 Points, 5 Rebounds, 4.8 Assists

In the end it is hard not to put Devin Booker as the top shooting guard in the league and atop the Top 10 NBA Shooting Guards 2022 Rankings. The Suns All-Star currently leads all shooting guards in scoring averaging 26.7 points per game while ranking 10th among all players within the NBA.

Booker has guided the Phoenix Suns to the best record in the NBA and the overall top spot among the Western Conference. He led the Suns to the second round losing to the Dallas Mavericks in a tough series 4-3.

In the playoffs, the Kentucky Wildcat alum averaged 23.3 PPG, 4.4 APG, and 4.8 RPG.

Runner Up: James Harden – Philadelphia 76ers

Small Forwards

LeBron James

Team: Los Angeles Lakers

2021 Stats: 30.3 Points, 8.2 Rebounds, 6.2 Assists

It is hard to derail LeBron James at the top of the Top 10 NBA Small Forwards in the 2022 rankings. The man continues to turn in MVP caliber performances night in and night out.

The 4x NBA MVP and 18x NBA All-Star trails only Joe Embiid (30.4 ppg) in points per game while averaging 30.3 points per game on the year.

While James has seen a decline in play on the defensive side of the floor, the long-time veteran has the skills to run the Lakers offense while also finding ways to attack the glass.

Runner Up: Jayson Tatum – Boston Celtics

Power Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Team: Milwaukee Bucks

2021 Stats: 29.9 Points, 11.6 Rebounds, 5.8 Assists

In the end, the Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo is as dominant as any player in the league while leading all power forwards in scoring.

Giannis was in the running for his third NBA MVP award this season while also looking to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to their second straight NBA title.

In addition to leading all power forwards in rebounds, the Bucks star took his team to the second round of the playoffs in a competitive series against the Boston Celtics where he averaged 31.7 PPG, 14.2 RPG, and 6.8 APG.

Centers

Nikola Jokic

Team: Denver Nuggets

2021 Stats: 27.1 Points, 13.8 Rebounds, 7.9 Assists

While Joel Embiid is well deserving of the top spot, it is hard to look past Nikola Jokic as the best center in basketball and one of the best players in the league.

Your 2021-2022 NBA MVP is one of the only players in the league to rank in the top 10 in points per game, rebounds per game, assists per game and Player Efficiency Rating.

Jokic ranks 9th among all players in scoring, 2nd in rebounds, 8th in assists and 1st in Player Efficiency Rating (32.89). In addition to leading the NBA in each category, Jokic leads his team in each statistic as well.

The Joker took his team to the playoffs averaging 31 PPG, 13.2 RPG, and 5.8 APG losing to the Golden State Warriors 4-1. Stll, Jokic had an amazing season.
