Edson Barboza is one of the best kickboxers in the UFC, and he has wins over fighters like Anthony Pettis, Dan Hooker, Makwan Amirkhani, and Paul Felder. He has a professional record of 22 wins and 10 losses and definitely deserves an honorable mention. 

 

Movsar Evloev

Organization: UFC

Movsar Evloev is another talented fighter in the UFC who deserves an honorable mention. The Russian fighter has an undefeated record with 15 wins, and he has wins over names like Nik Lentz and Hakeem Dawodu in his most recent fight.

Top 10 Featherweights

  1. Arnold Allen

Organization: UFC

Starting off the list at number 10 we have Arnold Allen from England. He has a professional MMA record of 17 wins and 1 loss, and he is ranked #6 in the official UFC featherweight rankings. 

Allen is on a 10 fight win streak, 8 of which have been in the UFC. He is a very talented up-and-coming prospect, and already has wins over Makwan Amirkhani, Gilbert Melendez, and Sodiq Yusuff in his most recent fight. 

There is no official announcement about his next fight as of yet.

 

  1. Dan Ige

Organization: UFC

Dan Ige is an American mixed martial artist competing in the UFC. He has a professional record of 15 wins and 4 losses, and he is ranked #9 in the official UFC featherweight rankings. 

Ige is a talented up-and-coming fighter, and he has notable wins over Mirsad Bektić, and Edson Barboza. In his most recent fight, he faced the Korean Zombie, however, the fight did not go his way. 

As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

 

  1. Calvin Katar

Organization: UFC

Calvin Katar is an MMA fighter from the USA, and he has a professional record of 22 wins and 5 losses. He is ranked number 5 in the UFC featherweight rankings. 

Katar is a very talented boxer and has wins over Andre Fili, Ricardo Lamas, Jeremy Stephens, and Dan Ige. His last fight was against Max Holloway, which he lost, however, he did win the fight of the night bonus. There is no announcement about his next fight as of now.

 

  1. Chan Sung Jung

Organization: UFC

Chan Sung Jung or as he is more commonly known, the Korean Zombie, is a professional MMA fighter from Korea. He has a record of 17 wins and 6 losses, and he is ranked number 4 in the UFC featherweight rankings. 

The Korean Zombie has some impressive wins over fighters like Dustin Poirier, Dennis Bermudez, Renato Moicano, Frankie Edgar, and Dan Ige. he won his last fight against Ige via unanimous decision, and his next fight has not been officially announced yet.

 

  1. Giga Chikadze

Organization: UFC

Giga Chikadze is a mixed martial artist and former kickboxer from Georgia. He has an MMA record of 14 wins and 2 losses. 

Chikadze is currently on a 9-fight winning streak, 7 of which were in the UFC. He is a high-level kickboxer, and has already defeated some big names including Brandon Davis, Cub Swanson, and Edson Barboza. 

Against Barboza he won in outstanding fashion which hopefully sets him up for a bigger fight next. This makes his third performance of the night bonus in his last three fights, and as of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

 

  1. Patricio Freire

Organization: Bellator

Patrício Freire, more commonly known as Patrício Pitbull, is a professional MMA fighter from Brazil. He has a record of 32 wins and 5 losses. 

Before his most recent loss against A.J. McKee, he was the Bellator Featherweight Champion. He won the title back in 2017, after defeating Daniel Straus, and defended the title five times. Pitbull also moved up to Lightweight to challenge Michael Chandler and won the Bellator lightweight championship in 2019 as well. 

As far as his next fight is concerned, there is no official announcement as of yet.

 

  1. Brian Ortega

Organization: UFC

Ortega is a Mexican-American MMA fighter and jiu-jitsu stand out, with a professional MMA record of 15 wins, 2 losses, and 1 no-contest. 

He has challenged for the UFC featherweight title twice, once against Holloway, and more recently against Volkonovski, but came short both times. He has impressive wins over some of the best featherweight fighters in the UFC, including, Renato Moicano, Cub Swanson, Frankie Edgar, and the Korean Zombie. 

He lost his most recent fight last weekend against the current UFC champ Alexander Volkonovski. In what may possibly be one of the best fights of the year, Ortega nearly submitted Volkonovski twice, with a guillotine and triangle.

 

 

  1. A.J. McKee

Organization: Bellator

Title: Bellator Champion

A.J. McKee is a professional fighter from the USA, and he has an undefeated record of 18-0. He competes in Bellator’s featherweight division and is one of the best featherweights right now. 

Makee is the current Bellator Featherweight champion and the winner of the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix. He is also ranked number 1 in the Beletor women’s Pound for Pound rankings. 

In his most recent fight, he defeated Patrício Freire via submission, and as of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

 

  1. Max Holloway

Organization: Bellator

Max is a Hawaiian Professional fighter and one of the biggest MMA stars in the world. He has a record of 

Max is the former UFC Featherweight Champion and holds the record for most consecutive title defenses in the division as well. He has defeated many high-level fighters, including Jose Aldo twice, Max Holloway, Anthony Pettis, Charles Oliveira, and in his most recent fight, Calvin Katar. 

Holloway is the number one UFC contender, and he will be fighting Yair Rodreguez in his next fight on 13th November.

 

  1. Alexander Volkonovski

Organization: UFC

Title: UFC Champion

At the top of the list, we have Alexander Volkonovski from Australia. He has a professional record of 23-1 and is currently on a 20 fight win streak. 

Volkanovski is the current undisputed UFC featherweight champion and has defended the title twice. He has defeated both Jose Aldo and Max Holloway, who are recognized as two of the greatest featherweights of all time. 

Last weekend, he defeated Brian Ortega in a dominant fight. Ortega had some moments in the fight, however, for the most part, Volkonvski dominated, especially with his ground and pound. Volkonovski won the fight via a unanimous decision.
