Top 10 Latino UFC Fighters 2023 Rankings
There are many incredible Latino MMA fighters from Latin America throughout the history of Mixed Martial Arts. Before we move on to the list in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, I have to give out some honorable mentions.
Honorable Mention
Chris Gutiérrez
Promotion: UFC
Chris Gutiérrez is a Columbian American fighter out of Englewood, Colorado. Gutiérrez has a record of 19 wins and 5 losses. He won 4 out of his last 5 but lost his single fight in 2023 by unanimous decision.
Carla Esparza
Promotion: UFC
Carla Esparza is of Mexican and Ecuadorian descent based out of Redondo Beach, California. She has a record of 19 wins and 7 losses and has not competed in 2023.
Tracy Cortez
Promotion: UFC
Tracy Cortez is of Mexican descent from Scottsdale, Arizona with a record of 10 wins and 1 loss. She is scheduled to fight Jasmine Jasudavicius on September 16 at UFC Fight Night.
Top 10 Latino MMA Fighters
10. Irene Aldana
Promotion: UFC
Irene Aldana is a Mexican MMA fighter with a professional record of 14 wins and 7 losses.
She is one of the best Mexican MMA fighters, best UFC women fighters, and in her most recent fight, she even fought Amanda Nunes for the UFC women’s bantamweight title. She has impressive wins over fighters like Bethe Correia, Ketlen Vieira, Yana Santos, and Macy Chiasson.
As of now, there is no announcement about her next fight.
9. Kelvin Gastelum
Promotion: UFC
Kelvin Gastelum is a Mexican American fighter in the UFC middleweight division, who has a professional record of 17 wins 8 losses, and 1 no-contest.
The former Ultimate Fighter previously fought for the UFC Interim Middleweight title but lost. He also has impressive wins over fighters like Michael Bisping, Ronaldo Souza, and Ian Heinisch
After some tough fights, he got a win over Chris Curtis in his most recent fight, and there is no official announcement about his next fight.
8. Julianna Peña

Julianna Peña is an American MMA fighter of Mexican and Venezuelan descent, and she has a professional record of 11 wins and 5 losses. She is #1 in the UFC Rankings.
Julianna Peña is the former UFC bantamweight world champion, and she won the title after defeating Amanda Nunes, who was perhaps the most dominant female fighter in the UFC. However, in her most recent fight, a rematch against Nunes, she lost the title.
7. Brian Ortega
Promotion: UFC
Brian Ortega is a Mexican-American MMA fighter, with a professional MMA record of 15 wins, 3 losses, and 1 no-contest.
Ortega has challenged for the UFC featherweight title twice, once against Holloway, and more recently against Volkonovski, but came short both times. He has impressive wins over some of the best featherweight fighters in the UFC, including, Renato Moicano, Cub Swanson, Frankie Edgar, and the Korean Zombie.
He lost his most recent fight, he lost to Yair Rodríguez, and as of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.
6. Marlon Vera

Marlon Vera is an MMA fighter from Ecuador. He has a professional record of 20 wins, 8 losses and 1 draw.
Vera is one of the best latino mma fighters in the UFC, and he has solid wins over fighters like Sean O’Malley, Frankie Edgar, Rob Font, and Dominick Cruz
His most recent fight was a split decision loss to Cory Sandhagan, and he has an upcoming fight against Pedro Munhoz for august 20th, a win in which could put him in a good position for a title shot.
5. Henry Cejudo

Now at #5 in the Top 10 Latino MMA Fighters is Henry Cejudo. Cejudo is an American professional MMA fighter of Mexican Descent, and he has a professional record of 16 wins and 3 losses.
Cejudo is a former UFC two-division world champion. He has held UFC gold at both flyweight and Bantamweight, and he has solid wins over fighters like Demetrious Johnson, TJ Dillashaw, Marlon Moraes, and Dominick Cruz
In his most recent fight, he fought Aljamain Sterling for the Bantamweight title but lost a very close split decision.
4. Tatiana Suarez

Tatiana Suarez is an American fighter of Mexican Descent, and she has an undefeated professional MMA record of 10 wins and 0 losses.
Tatiana Suarez has several impressive wins in the UFC over fighters like Alexa Grasso, Carla Esparza, Nina Ansaroff, and Montana De La Rosa. in her most recent fight, she also defeated former UFC Strawweight champion, Jéssica Andrade.
As of now, there is no official announcement about her next fight.
3. Brendon Moreno

Brandon Moreno is a Mexican MMA fighter with a professional MMA record of 21 wins, 6 losses, and 2 draws.
Moreno is a former two-time UFC flyweight champion. He won the title for the second time earlier this year after defeating Deiveson Figueiredo. However, he recently lost it in a very competitive fight against Alexandre Pantoja
2. Yair Rodríguez

Yair Rodríguez is a Mexican MMA fighter with a record of 15 wins and 4 losses.
Rodríguez is the former UFC interim featherweight champion, and he has solid wins over fighters like Dan Hooker, Jung Chan-sung, Jeremy Stephens, Brian Ortega, and Josh Emmett.
In his most recent fight, got a chance to fight Alexander Volkanovski for the undisputed featherweight title, however, he came short.

Grasso is the current UFC women’s flyweight world champion, and she won the title in her most recent fight after defeating the dominant champion Valentina Shevchenko. Grasso is also ranked as the #1 Pound for Pound women’s fighter in the UFC.
Her next fight is a rematch against Shevchenko, scheduled for September 17th.
