Patricio “Pitbull” Freire made faster work of Emmanuel Sanchez this time around in their rematch choking him out in the first round in dominant fashion. This took place at Bellator 255 representing the Semi Finals of Bellator’s Featherweight Grand Prix Tournament. Pitbull is now in the finals ready to take on undefeated contender A.J. McKee. 

Pitbull is not only the Bellator Featherweight Champion but he’s also the Bellator Lightweight Champion as well. He walks around a double champion. Did anyone see Michael Chandler knockout Dan Hooker a couple months ago? The same man fighting for the UFC Lightweight title. Pitbull knocked him out 2 years ago.

I say all this because more respect needs to be put on Patricio Pitbull and Bellator’s name. Not all the best fighters are in the UFC and Pitbull is making that known. He’s the double champ in his organization and knocked out the man that is fighting for the UFC Lightweight title in May. Respect earned.

I moved Pitbull up to #4 in my Featherweight Rankings. A.J. McKee, his undefeated opponent in the finals whom he’ll meet later this year is now #7. Bellator is representing well in the Rankings.
