On Wednesday afternoon Michael Chiesa faced off against Neil Magny in what I expected to be a back and forth fight. What we got instead was Chiesa dominating Magny throughout. Magny, coming off a dominant win on his own against Robbie Lawler by stand up and on the ground was 3-0 in 2020 coming into the fight. So after witnessing that fight I assumed a war but what we got was Chiesa showing Magny there are levels to this as he out grapples him for all 5 rounds. After the fight Chiesa calls out Colby Covington. Chiesa definitely deserves someone in the UFC Top 5. If rumors of a Covington vs Jorge Masvidal seem to be true that leaves Demian Maia, Tyron Woodley, and Stephen Thompson left. Any of those fight would work for him.
