Best Football Players – September Edition 2020
The best players in the world in every position for September

The month of September has been an interesting one with leagues across Europe returning.
Several games have been played in all of Europe with fans still unable to attend games because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Nevertheless, players have been doing their best and because more of the leagues were not in action from the start of the moment, some new players have emerged on our player rankings this month just like in August.
Here is our top player in each position for the month of September.
Goalkeepers
Jan Oblak
Oblak remains one of the world’s best goalkeeper and he is one of the reasons why Atletico Madrid remains one of the hardest teams to score against.
On his day, the Slovenian is simply unbeatable and that explains why his club has maintained that only a bid of around 100m euros will be enough to take him away from the club.
In September, he played three games for Atletico, and he conceded just a single goal, keeping clean sheets in two of those matches.
This performance sees him move up the list from the third position in August.

Defenders
Marquinhos
The Brazilian was our top defender for August as he helped PSG to reach the final of the Champions League, even though they eventually lost it.
The French side has lost Thiago Silva this summer after the 35-year-old decided to move to Chelsea on a free transfer.
Marquinhos has now been handed a greater responsibility and he is doing just fine.
PSG started their season poorly, but with the help of the defender, they have won their last four matches.
Marquinhos has helped them to keep three clean sheets in those games and he even scored a goal in the month.
He stays number one in our rankings.
Midfielder
Bruno Fernandes
The month of September wasn’t the best of months for most midfielders but Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes stood out on his own.
The Portuguese midfielder has continued his fine form from when he first joined the club in the January transfer window.
The Premier League resumed in September and he has made two assists and scored a goal in the month.
He moves from second on our rankings last month to first on the list this month.
Joshua Kimmich
Kimmich has emerged as a promising midfielder for Bayern Munich recently with some of the best performances by any midfielder in the world.
He was in impressive for the Germans in their run-up to the final of the Champions League which they won alongside the Bundesliga and German Cup.
In September alone, he scored two goals and provided two assists for the Germans.
He is second on the list in September, despite just entering our rankings.
Attackers
Dominic Calvert-Lewin
The Premier League has been a happy place for Everton at the start of this season with the Toffees winning four of four league games to top the league table.
One player that has stood out for them is Dominic Calvert-Lewin and the Englishman has been in top goalscoring form.
He has scored six league goals already this season and he scored five of those goals in the month of September.
He enters our rankings for the first time in this month and goes straight to the top.
