Top 10 Best Offensive Tackles in College Football 2025-2026 Rankings
Ranking the best Offensive Tackles in College Football for the 2025-2026 NCAA season as Francis Mauigoa of the Miami Hurricanes leads the way
NFL Draft 2026 Offensive Tackles Rankings
The Top 10 College Football Offensive Tackles 202-2026 power rankings start where every drive truly begins: in the silence before the snap, when 300-pound technicians decide whether a quarterback breathes easy or gets blindsided. In a season defined by fireworks on the perimeter, this group turned Saturdays into trench clinics, marrying footwork, force and film-room mastery in ways that shaped conference title races and playoff resumes.
For college football diehards and line-play obsessives alike, this list is less about reputation and more about what the tape and numbers actually screamed all fall. A position that doesn’t feature stats that can be looked at on paper for most and less thrilling highlights than other positions, the offensive tackle position is the position that can dictate whether a team dominates on offense or loses over and over.
Pressures allowed, sacks surrendered, penalty discipline and rushing efficiency tell a clear story: the best tackles didn’t just survive 2025, they controlled it. Ultimately the battle on Saturday starts in the trenches and having stellar offensive lines are key to having success. Each of these talented offensive tackles landing among the best in College Football added true value to their respective football programs.
Here is a look at the Top 10 College Football Offensive Tackles 2025-2026 rankings:
Honorable Mention
J.C. Davis
School: Illinois Fighting Illini
Draft Status: NFL Draft
For a list as demanding as the Top 10 College Football Offensive Tackles 2025-2026 rankings, J.C. Davis is the kind of veteran who makes “honorable mention” feel like a technicality.
The Illinois Fighting Illini left tackle has been an anchor over the past two seasons since transferring in from the New Mexico Lobos. His game is built on economy. quiet feet, inside-hand patience, and almost zero wasted motion in his sets to go along with his strong football IQ and strength. Davis might not headline draft boards like some others here, but on pure “don’t lose the rep” consistency, he belongs in any expert’s list while his game film showcases his overall talent.
The Fighting Illini talented left tackle wrapped up his career taking home First Ten All-Big Ten honors in his final season.
Trevor Goosby
School: Texas Longhorns
Draft Status: Returning to Texas
Momentum is the currency of young tackles, and Trevor Goosby spent 2025 stacking it one SEC snap at a time.
The Texas Longhorns left tackle continued his development into one of the top tackles in the nation while playing a vital role in the team’s success on the offensive side of the ball. Texas relied on his length and lateral quickness to secure its perimeter run game and give quarterback Arch Manning clean launch points in an offense built around his ability to make plays with both his arm as well as his legs.
His frame and movement skills hint at an NFL future, but this season was about steadying a playoff-caliber line: he served as the athletic bookend who rarely put his quarterback in obvious harm’s way and who increasingly won his one-on-ones without help. As he enters the 2026-2027 ranked among the best tackles in College Football the talented tackle will build on his first All-SEC team selection.
Top 10 Best Offensive Tackles in College Football 2025-2026 Rankings
10. Monroe Freeling
School: Georgia Bulldogs
Draft Status: Undecided
Protecting the back half of the Top 10 College Football Offensive Tackles 2025-2026 rankings list is the Georgia Bulldogs left tackle Monroe Freeling.
Championship lines are built on tackles like Freeling, who stepped into Georgia’s rotation and gave the Bulldogs exactly what they demand at the edge: a strong physical tackle with bad intentions. Working in an offense that leaned on balanced, pro-style concepts, Freeling’s length and anchor showed up in how rarely Georgia’s quarterbacks faced immediate edge pressure and how confidently the staff called slow-developing play-action sets.
Ultimately Freeling and the Bulldogs line held up against the tough SEC conference allowing just 20 sacks over 14 games during the season. Continuing to display their dominance in College Football, Freeling versatility, leadership, and athleticism helped solidify a line that helped pave their success on offense.
9. Blake Miller
School: Clemson Tigers
Draft Status: NFL Draft
Every week, Blake Miller walked into the ACC knowing he’d see NFL-caliber rushers and still played like the metronome of the Clemson Tigers front.
The Tigers offense depended on his ability to hold up on dropback situations as well as fast impact on running plays, and the talented senior rewarded them since arriving with the Tigers. While the Tigers have had their struggles over the past few seasons that has led to Miller falling under the radar, the game film does not however showcase one of the most skilled and fundamental tackles in College Football.
The strong play also led to Miller earning his second straight First-Team All-ACC selection and landing him among the best tackles entering the 2026 NFL Draft.
8. PJ Williams
School: SMU Mustangs
Draft Status: NFL Draft
Flying under the radar is almost a job requirement for the SMU Mustangs linemen, but PJ Williams spent 2025 refusing to stay anonymous.
Slotted at right tackle, he helped an explosive Mustangs offense average 416.9 yards per game and 32.2 points per game over the course of the 2025-2026 College Football season. Williams’ athleticism also popped in the screen and sweep game, pulling across the formation, climbing to second-level defenders and erasing DBs in space, making him one of the more scheme-diverse tackles on this list and a key reason SMU’s perimeter run game and quick game thrived.
Overall Williams displayed tremendous football IQ all season while being the anchor to a strong Mustangs offensive line. The success of Williams comes from his versatility, athleticism, and power to allow him to attack at the first point of impact and win even against more athletic and quicker edge defenders looking to attack the quarterback.
7. Keagen Trost
School: Missouri Tigers
Draft Status: NFL Draft
When it comes to talented offensive lineman it is hard to look past Keagen Trost of the Missouri Tigers.
The talented right tackle was as dominant as any tackle in the nation over the course of his senior season. The Tigers success on offense that included averaging 30.2 points per game and 416.3 yards per game in a talented SEC conference was in large part due to the success and stability with Trost on the offensive line. His 2025 performance is highlighted by how often Missouri could leave him one-on-one in the SEC and still trust the ball to push downfield or put the ball on the ground within their running game.
The result was a tackle whose impact showed up in fewer hits on the quarterback and a more stable offensive rhythm snap-to-snap. After a strong final season, Trost will be a hot commodity during the 2026 NFL Draft.
6. Trey Zuhn III
School: Texas A&M Aggies
Draft Status: NFL Draft
The Texas A&M’s offense might have evolved schematically, but its backbone remained a left tackle who simply refused to come off the field.
Trey Zuhn III started every game at left tackle, anchoring a rushing attack that surged into the national top 30 at 195.5 yards per game and at one point ripped off back-to-back 300-yard rushing performances. As the running game performed at a high level, Zuhn III helped the Aggies pass protection allow just 21 sacks over 14 games and the second fewest number of tackles for a loss (3.31) in the country per game.
The strong performance elevated Zuhn’s draft value heading into the 2026 NFL Draft while earning him multiple honors including SEC Jacobs Blocking Trophy award alongside Kaydn Proctor. With a big strong physical frame, and a high football IQ the talented Aggies offensive lineman ranked among the best offensive tackles all season.
5. Carter Smith
School: Indiana Hoosiers
Draft Status: NFL Draft (Expected)
The top half of the Top 10 College Football Offensive Tackles 2025-2026 rankings list is loaded with talented players with Carter Smith of the Indiana Hoosiers being well deserving of a spot.
Smith has been a key member of the Hoosiers offensive line that has helped drive one of the offenses in College Football and a program that averaged 42 points per game and 458.5 yards per game. In addition the Hoosiers allowed just 3.93 tackles for a loss and 21 total sacks during their current impressive run to the semi finals of the College Football Playoffs.
As the blind-side cornerstone, Smith paved the way for multiple big time explosive offensive performances including six games posting at least 50 points helping the Hoosiers roll to a 14-0 record and the Big Ten Championship. Smith’s strong play earned the talented left tackle the Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year award as well as being selected as a consensus All-American and First-Team All-Big Ten.
4. Brian Parker II
School: Duke Blue Devils
Draft Status: NFL Draft
The Duke Blue Devils offense spent much of 2025 walking a tightrope between tempo and physicality, and Brian Parker II was the lineman who made that balancing act work.
Serving as the key tackle in an ACC that featured diverse pressure packages, Parker consistently kept his edge clean, buying time for an evolving passing game while helping limit sacks to a level that kept Duke competitive in most league battles. His film shows a tackle comfortably flipping his hips against inside counters, re-anchoring against bull rush and using independent hands to disrupt rush timing.
Parker, who was selected as a Second-Team All-ACC selection, went under the radar while helping the Blue Devils average 34.6 points per game and win the ACC Championship. Now the talented Blue Devils lineman will be among the top offensive tackles taken during the 2026 NFL Draft.
3. Kadyn Proctor
School: Alabama Crimson Tide
Draft Status: NFL Draft
Not many tackles live under a brighter microscope than the Alabama Crimson Tides left tackle Kadyn Proctor.
Proctor, who entered the season ranked among the best offensive tackles in College Football lived up to those rankings all season while emerging as one of the potential first offensive tackles to be taken during the 2026 NFL Draft. His size and power remained unquestioned, but 2025 became about refinement—showing he could adjust on the fly to chip-heavy looks and simulated pressures, and by season’s end, he again looked like one of the sport’s highest-upside tackles.
The strong play at the left tackle position helped the Crimson Tide reach another trip to the College Football Playoffs while the line allowed just 4.67 tackles for a loss during the season. Ultimately his play was recognized as the talented lineman took home multiple accolades including being named the SEC Jacobs Blocking Trophy award winner and being named to All-SEC First-Team.
2. Spencer Fano
School: Utah Utes
Draft Status: NFL Draft
The Utah Utes offense didn’t just run the ball in 2025, it imposed its will, and Spencer Fano was the tone-setter at the right tackle position.
The Utes success started up front allowing the ground game to dominate all season while posting the second highest number of rushing yards per game in the country (266.3). The success on the ground allowed the Utes to finish the season ranked fourth in the nation in scoring, posting 41.3 points per game. The success doesn’t stop there as the Utes allowed just 14 sacks over the course of the season and 4.15 tackles for a loss per game.
The strong play of Fano not only helped the Utes have success but also landed Fano as the Outland Trophy Award winner, selected as an Unanimous All-American selection and named as the Big 12 Offensive lineman of the year.
1. Francis Mauigoa
School: Miami Hurricanes
Draft Status: NFL Draft
At the top of the Top 10 College Football Offensive Tackles 2025-2026 rankings stands Francis Mauigoa, the right tackle who turned Miami’s offensive edge into a no-fly zone.
Already a multi-year starter and former five-star, he entered 2025 ranked among the best offensive tackles in the nation and one that was on the radar of nearly every NFL team. The strong play has helped the Hurricanes to a 12-2 record and a trip to the semi final contest against the Ole Miss Rebels in the VRBO Fiesta Bowl. With Mauigoa playing a key role, the Hurricanes offense posted 405.6 yards of offense per game and 31.6 points per game while the offensive line allowed just 15 sacks over their first 14 games of the season.
The ACC coaches took notice, voting him the winner of the Jacobs Blocking Trophy while he anchored a line that ranked eighth nationally in sacks allowed (1.07 per game) and sixth in tackles for loss allowed (3.71), metrics that underscore how thoroughly he controlled the right side snap after snap.
The talented Hurricanes lineman was also named as a First-Team All-ACC selection and a consensus All-American.
