Offense

Quarterbacks

Bryce Young

School: Alabama Crimson Tide
2022 Season Stats: 32 TD, 3,328 YDS

We have Bryce Young as the second best Quarterback this NCAA season. After winning the Heisman Trophy last season, Young battled injuries over the course of the 2022 NCAA schedule.

The Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback falls just behind Caleb Williams as the top overall quarterback in College Football. Over the past two seasons Young threw for 79 touchdowns to just 12 interceptions with 7 rushing touchdowns.

In addition to the 927 total passes over the two-year stretch, Young completed 65.9 percent of his passes while leading the Crimson Tide to the National Championship.

Running Backs

Bijan Robinson

School: Texas Longhorns

We have Texas Longhorns Bijan Robinson as the best running back in college football this 2022 NCAA season. After rushing for 1,127 yards last season, Robinson continued to show his development this season while improving in nearly every offensive category.

The Longhorns running back finished the season with 1,580 rushing yards to go along with 314 receiving yards, two touchdown receptions and 18 rushing touchdowns. He is expected to be the first running back off the NFL draft board come the 2023 NFL Draft.

Tight Ends

Dalton Kincaid

School: Utah Utes

Dalton Kincaid is the best Tight End in college football when it comes to the Top NFL Draft Prospects by Position.

In the end it is hard to look past the type of season Dalton Kincaid put together for the Utah Utes leading or ranking near the top in every offensive statistic among the tight end group.

Kincaid, who is expected to be a high draft pick during the 2023 NFL draft is coming off a 70 catch, 890 receiving yards and eight touchdown season.

Tackles

Paris Johnson Jr.

School: Ohio State Buckeyes
Position: Left Tackle

In at number one on the Top 2023 NFL Draft Prospects for Offensive Tackles is the Ohio State Buckeyes left tackle Paris Johnson Jr.

Johnson Jr. who joins his teammate Dawand Jones on the draft board is possibly the best overall offensive tackle in all of college football. The Buckeyes left tackle is solid in both the passing game and running game as a blocker.

Overall, Johnson Jr finished the season allowing just one sack over 12 games and just nine quarterback hurries. Leading into the NFL draft, Johnson Jr lists at 6 foot 6 inches while weighing in at 310 pounds to go along with great arm length and wingspan.

Guards

O’Cyrus Torrence

School: Florida Gators
Position: Right Guard

O’Cyrus Torrence comes in as the second best Offensive Guard going into the 2023 NFL Draft but will be the first chosen.

Torrence, who transferred to the Gators after starting his career with the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns allowed just eight quarterback hurries and zero sacks over 11 games this season for the Gators. 

Torrence was able to use his 6 foot 5 inches and 347 lbs strength to open up running holes and help protect the quarterback during passing plays.

Centers

John Michael Schmitz

School: Minnesota Golden Gophers

The Minnesota Golden Gophers ranked among the best teams in all of College Football in rushing. Much of that success comes up front with the team’s offensive line that also includes the best center in the 2022 NCAA season John Michael Schmitz.

The senior center is coming off allowing just one quarterback hit, two sacks, and five quarterback hurries during the 2022 NCAA Football season.

Defense

Defensive Ends

Myles Murphy

School: Clemson Tigers

In the end the best defensive end in College Football upon the completion of the 2022 NCAA Football season is Myles Murphy.

Murphy ranks amongst the best defensive players as well, and is expected to be one of the top defensive players off the NFL Draft Board during the 2023 NFL Draft.

Myles Murphy racked up a long list of awards during the 2022 NCAA Season including First Team All-ACC and ranked 33rd among all College Football Players in 2022.

The Clemson Tigers defensive end is as explosive as any in the game while posting 40 tackles with 6.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble this season.

Defensive Tackles

Jalen Carter

School: Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs Jalen Carter ranks as the best Defensive Tackle of College Football and we believe number one DT coming off the 2023 NFL Draft board.

Carter, who finished the season with 32 tackles to go along with three sacks, two forced fumbles, and three passes defended all while taking on double teams.

His presence, strength, and athleticism helped him open up holes among the opposing offensive lines while his teammates could make plays.

Despite missing five games in 2022, Carter still managed to boost 25 pressures, 17 quarterback hurries and five quarterback hits over just 10 games.

Outside Linebackers

Will Anderson Jr.

School: Alabama Crimson Tide 

In at number one on the Top Outside Linebackers  going into the 2023 NFL Draft is the Alabama Crimson Tide star defensive player Will Anderson Jr.

Anderson Jr. who entered the season as one of the top players to watch in the country didn’t disappoint despite opposing teams attempts to slow him down with double teams and other stunts.

Not only the best Outside Linebacker but a potential top three draft pick with some expecting him to land as high as the first pick during the 2023 NFL Draft.

Despite not finishing the season he ended it with 10 sacks to go along with 51 tackles and an interception returned for a touchdown.

Middle Linebackers

Trenton Simpson

School: Clemson Tigers

It is hard to look past Trenton Simpson as the top middle linebacker / inside linebacker in the country. The Clemson Tigers linebacker is a game changer on the defensive side of the ball making big plays whether run or pass.

Simpson, who has solid size, is built with a strong motor that delivers great burst to allow him to get to the quarterback or ball carrier.

Simpson finished the season with a career high 73 tackles to go along with 2.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 passes defended.

Cornerbacks

Clark Phillips III

School: Utah Utes

In at number one on the Top Cornerbacks 2023 NFL Draft Prospects list is the Utah Utes cornerback Clark Phillips III.

All you have to do is watch a few game films of Phillips to recognize how talented the Lakewood, Cali native is at the cornerback position.

During the 2022 season, teams elected to stay away from him in the pass game as much as possible. Regardless, the Utes cornerback still had 6 interceptions including 2 returned for touchdowns to go along with 6 passes defended, 1 sack, and 24 total tackles.

Safeties

Brian Branch

School: Alabama Crimson Tide

In at number one on the Top Safeties of the 2023 NFL Draft is the Alabama Crimson Tide safety Brian Branch. He posted a career high 90 tackles during the 2022 NCAA Football schedule.

To go along with the 90 tackles, he was all over the field recording 3 sacks to go along with 2 interceptions while also defending 7 passes. Branch excels both against the pass but more importantly against the run while seeing the field with great vision.

Special Teams

Kick Returners

Devon Achane

School: Texas A&M Aggies

One game changer headed to the 2023 NFL Draft is the Texas A&M Aggies star running back and explosive kick returner Devon Achane.

Achane ranks as the 2nd best Kick Returner on our list this season whom topped the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career as a running back and was as good as any kick returner in college football despite only returning nine total kicks this season.

The Aggies star finished the 2022 NCAA Football season returning nine kicks for 301 yards while returning 1 kick return for a 96-yard touchdown while averaging over 33 yards per return.

Punt Returners

Derius Davis

School: TCU Horned Frogs

One College Football player to land as both a top tier punt returner as well as a top tier kick returner is Derius Davis. Davis, who is the third best Punt Returner on our rankings, put together a stellar season for the TCU Horned Frogs in 2022.

Davis finished the season with 2 punt return touchdowns, 268 punt return yards, and a 14.9 average punt return mark. Davis ranks 4th among punt returners with his 14.9 mark while also ranking 4th in total punt return yards.

Kickers

Jake Moody

School: Michigan Wolverines

At number one on the Top Kickers going in the 2023 NFL Draft is the Michigan Wolverines senior field goal kicker Jake Moody.

Moody finished the season nailing 29 of his 35 field goal attempts on the season and finished with a career high 147 point scored. Moody also connected on all 60 of his extra point attempts.

The Wolverines kicker made 19 of his 20 attempts below 40 yards, 7 of 8 from between 40 and 49 yards, and 3 of his 7 attempts from 50 plus yards including a career high 59 yard attempt.
