Gegard Mousasi is a Dutch MMA fighter and former kickboxer. He is also the former Beletor Middleweight world champion and had a very successful career in the UFC as well. He also deserves an honorable mention.

Title: Bellator Middleweight Champion

Johnny Eblen is an American MMA fighter, with an undefeated professional MMA record of 12 wins and 0 losses. 

Eblen is the current Bellator Middleweight world champion, and he won the title after defeating Gegard Mousasi in his most recent fight at Bellator 282. 

As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

9. André Muniz

André Muniz is a Brazilian MMA fighter with a record of 23 wins and 4 losses. 

Muniz made it into the UFC after winning a couple of fights in the Dana White Contender Series, and he has all five of his fights in the UFC. he has notable wins over Ronaldo Souza, and Eryk Anders, and Uriah Hall, who he defeated in his most recent fight. 

There is no announcement about when Andre Muniz will fight next.

8. Jack Hermansson

Jack Hermansson is a Swedish-born Norwegian professional mixed martial artist. He competes in the UFC and has a professional MMA record of 22 wins and 7 losses. 

Jack Hermansson has won over some big names in the middleweight division including Gerald Meerschaert, David Branch, Ronaldo Souza, Edmen Shahbazyan, and Kelvin Gastelum. 

In his most recent fight, he lost to Sean Strickland, and he was supposed to fight Darren Till at UFC London but still had to pull out because of an injury. There is no announcement for a replacement opponent yet.

7. Derek Brunson

Promotion: UFC

Derek Brunson is an American MMA fighter and he has a professional record of  23 wins and 8 losses. 

He has defeated some of the top-ranked fighters in the division, including Uriah Hall, Kevin Holland, Edmen Shahbazyan, and Darren Till. He was on a 5 fight win streak before he lost to Jared Cannonier in his most recent fight. 

His next fight has not been announced yet.

6. Sean Strickland

Promotion: UFC

Strickland is an American MMA fighter with a professional record of 25 wins and 4 losses. 

Before last weekend, he was on a 6 fight-winning streak. He has impressive wins over Uriah Hall, and Jack Hermansson. In his most recent fight, he fought former elite kickboxer and now MMA fighter Alex Pereira, and lost via knockout in the first round. 

There is no announcement about his next fight.

5. Jared Cannonier

Jared Cannonier is a professional MMA fighter from Nigeria, and he has a professional MMA record of 15 wins and 6 losses

Cannonier has some impressive wins in the UFC over talented fighters like David Branch, Anderson Silva, Jack Hermansson, Kelvin Gastelum, and Derek Brunson as well.

Last weekend, Cannonier challenged Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title, however, he lost the fight. Cannonier wasn’t taking enough risks. He played a safe game, which is why Adesanya was able to put him down.

4. Alex Pereira

Alex Pereira is a Brazilian MMA fighter and Kickboxer, with an MMA record of 6 wins and only 1 loss. 

Pereira is one of the best Kickboxers in the world, and he has also defeated the current UFC champion, Israel Adesanya twice in Kickboxing. He has had three fights in the UFC, and he won all of them. 

In his last fight, he defeated Sean Strickland, and his next fight will be against UFC Champion Israel Adesanya.

3. Marvin Vettori

Promotion: UFC

Marvin Vettori is an Italian MMA fighter who has a professional MMA record of 18 wins, 5 losses, and 1 draw. 

Vettori has defeated some big names in the division, and he also challenged Adesanya for the title last year, however, he could not win. In his most recent fight, he defeated former title challenger Paulo Costa via a Unanimous decision. 

He is scheduled to fight Robert Whittaker on September 3rd.

2. Robert Whittaker

Robert “The Reaper” Whitaker is one of the biggest MMA stars to come out of Australia, and he has a professional record of 23-6. 

Whitaker is the former UFC middleweight champion, he lost the title to Israel Adesanya in 2019. However, he went on a three-fight win streak, beating the who’s who of the middleweight division.

Finally, he got a rematch against Adesanya in his most recent fight, but he could not win. His next fight is scheduled against Marvin Vettori for September 3rd.

1. Israel Adesanya

Title: UFC Middleweight Champion

Adesanya is a Nigerian-born professional mixed martial artist, and former kickboxer fighting out of New Zealand. He has a professional MMA record of 23 wins and 1 loss and is the reigning UFC Middleweight champion.

Adesanya won the title in 2018, after defeating Robert Whittaker, and he has defended the title 5 times since then. Adesanya defended his belt against Jared Cannonier last weekend, and though it was a very slow-paced fight, Adesanya did do enough to win a unanimous decision. 

As of now, there is no announcement about his next fight, however, fans are calling for a fight against his former kickboxing opponent Alex Pereira.
