Ranking the best Female Lightweight Boxers as Caroline Dubois defeats Magali Rodriguez to become the new IBO Lightweight Champion

Updating the Female Lightweight Boxers – World Rankings as Caroline Dubois continues her undefeated streak winning the IBO Lightweight Title. Also, Undisputed Champion Katie Taylor gears up for her rematch against Chantelle Cameron.

Honorable Mention

Myriam Dellal

Myriam Dellal is a French professional boxer with a record of 18 wins and 10 losses. She has also fought for world titles twice but has not won one yet.

Though she doesn’t make it into our rankings, she deserves an honorable mention female lightweight boxers list.

Yamila Belen Abellaneda

Yamila Belen Abellaneda is a professional boxer from Argentina, and she has a record of 14 wins, 5 losses, and 1 draw. 

She fought Teri Harper for the WBA Inter-Continental Lightweight title earlier this year, but could not win. However, she has held multiple national titles in Argentina. 

In her most recent fight, she defeated Sofia Alejandra Rodriguez via Majority Decision, and her next fight is scheduled against Pamela Elisabeth Benavidez for November 11th.

Though she doesn’t make it into our rankings, she deserves an honorable mention female lightweight boxers list.

Top 10 Female Lightweight Boxers

10. Melissa St. Vil

Melissa St. Vil is an American professional boxer with a professional record of 15 wins, 4 losses, and 4 draws. 

She is the former WBC Silver female super featherweight title and has been challenged for the world title twice, once at lightweight and once at super featherweight, however, she could not win. 

In her most recent fight, she defeated Calista Silgado, and her next fight has not been announced yet.

9. Sofya Ochigava

Sofya Ochigava is a Russian professional boxer with an undefeated record of 7 wins and 0 losses. 

As an amateur, she won a silver medal in the 2012 Olympics and has won multiple world championships as well. As a professional, she has held the WBC silver lightweight title, and the  IBA female lightweight title as well. 

She defeated Happy Daudi in her most recent fight, and there is no announcement about her next fight yet.

8. Oleksandra Sidorenko

Now at #8 on our Female Lightweight Boxers list is Oleksandra Sidorenko. Sidorenko is a Ukrainian-born professional boxer fighting out of Poland. She has a record of 10 wins with 1 loss and 1 draw. 

Sidorenko is the former EBU European Lightweight champion

In her most recent fight, she defeated Aleksandra Vujovic, and her next fight has not been announced yet.

7. Firuza Sharipova

Firuza Sharipova is a Kazakhstani professional boxer with a record of 15 wins and 2 losses. 

She is the former WIBA lightweight champion, and in her most recent fight, she also challenged Katie Taylor for the unified lightweight world title but lost. 

In her most recent fight, she defeated Feriche Mashaury via Unanimous decision, and her next fight has not been announced yet.

6. Yanina del Carmen Lescano

Yanina del Carmen Lescano is a young professional boxer from Argentina, with a boxing record of 13 wins and 3 losses.

She is the former South American Female Lightweight champion and has also held the WBC Latino lightweight title. She also fought Estelle Yoka Mossely for the IBO lightweight title but lost via Split decision. 

In her most recent fight, she lost to Caroline Dubois, and there is no official announcement about his next fight.

5. Maira Moneo

Now in the Top 5 of our Female Lightweight Boxers list is Maira Moneo. Moneo is a professional boxer from Uruguay and she has a professional record of 13 wins and only 1 loss.

Moneo is the current Women’s WBA interim lightweight world champion and has won multiple regional titles as well, including the South American Super Lightweight title, and the WBA Fedelatin Lightweight title. 

She defeated Alys Sanchez in her most recent fight, and her next fight is scheduled against former IBO lightweight champion Estelle Mossely for October 18, 2023.

4. Miriam Gutiérrez

Miriam Gutiérrez is a Spanish professional boxer, and she has a record of 15 wins and 2 losses. 

Gutiérrez is the former WBA interim female lightweight champion and also challenged Katie Taylor for the Undisputed title. She also briefly held the European female lightweight title. 

In her most recent fight, she faced Patricia Martin Cabrera and won via Majority Decision. No announcement on Miriam Gutiérrez next fight.

3. Caroline Dubois

Making her debut in our Top 3 on the Female Lightweight Boxers list is Caroline Dubois. Dubois is a British boxer with an undefeated professional record of 8 wins and 0 losses.

She is the current Women’s IBO Lightweight world champion. As an amateur, she also won gold in the 2018 Buenos Aires Youth Olympics. 

Dubois became the IBO champion last weekend, after defeating Magali Rodriguez via unanimous decision. She had an excellent performance, and dropped Rodriguez three times, once in the 6th round and twice in the 9th round.

2. Estelle Mossely

At number 2, we have Estelle Mossley, a French boxer with an undefeated record of 11 wins and 1 draw with no losses.  

As an amateur Mossley won gold in the 2016 Olympics, and she is the former  IBO women’s lightweight champion as well. She won the title back in 2019 and defended it 3 times. 

In her most recent fight, she faced Magali Rodriguez at super lightweight with the fight ending in a draw. She is scheduled to fight Maira Moneo for the WBA interim Lightweight title later this month on October 18th.

Now at #1 in the Female Lightweight Boxers list is Katie Taylor. Taylor is a boxer from Ireland, and she has a professional record of 22 wins and 1 loss.

She is an Olympic gold medalist and is the current undisputed women’s lightweight champion of the world as well. She holds the unified WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring female lightweight titles and has defended them 7 times

In her most recent fight, she moved up to super lightweight, and challenged Chantelle Cameron for the unified WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring female light-welterweight titles however, she lost. Her next fight will be a rematch against Chantelle Cameron and is scheduled for 25th November.
