Kaori Nagai

Kaori Nagai is a Japanese boxer, with a record of 6 wins, 3 losses, and 3 draws. She is scheduled to fight Mizuki Chimoto for the OPBF Minimumweight title next and deserves an honorable mention. 

Top 10 Female Atomweight Boxers

10. Yenifer Leon

Yenifer Leon is a professional boxer from Venezuela and she has a record of 13 wins and 4 losses. 

Leon has challenged for multiple world titles, however, could not win any. In her last fight, she faced Jazmin Gala Villarino for the WBA gold Female Minimumweight title but lost. There is no announcement about her next fight. 

9. Eva Guzman

Eva Guzman is a Venezuelan professional boxer with an impressive record of 19 wins and only 1 loss and 1 draw. 

She is the former IBA World Female Minimumweight Champion and former WBA Interim Flyweight Champion. She won her most recent fight against Yanetsy Gomez and her next fight has not been announced yet.

8. Eri Matsuda

Eri Matsuda is a boxer from Japan, and she has a professional record of 4 wins and 1 loss. 

She is the former Japanese, and OPBF Female Atomweight Champion, and last weekend, she fought Ayaka Miyao for the vacant IBF Atomweight Championship. However, after a competitive fight, she lost via Majority decision.

As of now, there is no information about her next fight.

7. Louisa Hawton

Louisa Hawton is an Australian professional boxer, with a record of 10 wins and 2 losses. 

She is the current WBC Interim Female Atomweight Champion and has held the title since 2019. Previously she also held the WBO Female Junior Flyweight title in 2016.

In her most recent fight, back in 2019, she defeated Lorraine Villalobos to win the Interim title and has not fought since. There is no announcement about her next fight either. 

6. Saemi Hanagata

Saemi Hanagata is a professional boxer from Japan, and she has a record of 16 wins and 7 losses. 

Hanagata is the former IBF Atomweight Champion and won the title in 2018. She also challenged for the IBF title at Light Flyweight back in 2012 but did not win. Saemi Hanagata has also won the OPBF Female Minimumweight title. 

She won her most recent fight against Nao Ikeyama, and there is no announcement about her next fight.

5. Mika Iwakawa

At number 6, we have Japanese fighter Mika Iwakawa. She has a professional record of 10 wins, 5 losses, and 1 draw. 

She is the former WBO Atomweight Champion and had held the title since 2018, before losing it last weekend. Back in 2016, she also challenged for the WBA Atomweight title, but could not win. 

In her most recent fight, she lost her title against Nanae Suzuki and her next fight has not been announced yet.

4. Nanae Suzuki

  • WBO Atomweight World Champion

Nanae Suzuki is also from Japan, and she has a professional boxing record of 11 wins, 4 losses, and 1 draw. 

She is the former Japanese Atomweight Champion, and as of last weekend, she is also the current WBO Female Atomweight Champion of the world. The fight was quite competitive, and Suzuki only won via a split decision. 

Her next fight has not been announced yet.

3. Ayaka Miyao

  • IBF Atomweight World Champion

At number 3, we have another boxer from Japan. Ayaka Miyao has a professional record of 25 wins, 9 losses, and 2 draws. 

As of last weekend, she is the new IBF Atomweight World Champion and won the title after defeating Eri Matsuda. The fight was competitive, and one just scored it a draw, while the other two scored in favor of Miyao. She won via Majority decision. She is also the former WBA Interim Female Atomweight Champion and has challenged for world titles at Minimumweight as well. 

Her next fight has not been announced yet.

2. Fabiana Bytyqi

  • WBC Atomweight World Champion

Fabiana Bytyqi is a Czech professional boxer with a professional record of 18 wins and no losses. 

She is the current WBC Atomweight World Champion and has held the title since 2018. Bytyqi has also previously held multiple regional titles at Minimumweight and is the former WBC Silver Female Minimumweight Champion. 

She defeated Fara El Boussairi in her most recent fight, and her next fight has not been announced yet.

Monserrat Alarcón is a Mexican professional boxer with a record of 13 wins and 4 losses and is our number 1 pick for this list. 

Monserrat Alarcón has held world titles in two weight classes. She is the current WBA atom weight Champion and has defended her title twice, and formerly, also held the WBO Female Flyweight title. 

In her most recent fight, she defeated Ayaka Miyao, and there is no announcement about her next fight yet.
