Honorable Mention

Before we get on to the countdown, here are some fighters who couldn’t make it on the list, but deserve an honorable mention.

Chris Colbert

Chris Colbert is a young and exciting fighter with a record of 16-1. He is a former Interim WBA super Featherweight title and lost the title in his most recent fight after defending it twice.

Tevin Farmer

With a record of 30 wins, 5 losses, and 1 draw. He is a former IBF super featherweight world champion. He won the title in 2017 and defended it 4 times, before losing it to Joseph Diaz in his last fight

Top 10 Super Featherweight Boxers

10. Zelfa Barrett

Zelfa Barrett is a professional boxer from Britain, and he has a boxing record of 27 wins with only 1 defeat. Barret is currently ranked #8 by BoxRec. 

He holds the current Commonwealth super-featherweight title and has also held the IBF Inter-Continental super-featherweight title. In his most recent fight, Barret defeated Bruno Tarimo via a Unanimous decision. 

There is no official announcement about his next fight yet.

 

9. O’Shaquie Foster

O’Shaquie Foster is an American professional boxer with a record of 19 wins and 2 losses. He is ranked #6 by BoxRec. Foster is the current WBC silver super-featherweight champion of the world and has defended the title three times.

In his most recent fight, he defeated Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov via unanimous decision, and there is no official announcement about his next fight yet.

8. Hector Luis García

Hector Luis García is a Dominican professional boxer, with an undefeated professional record of 15 wins, 0 losses, and 3 no-contests. 

García formerly held the WBA Fedelatin featherweight title, however, since moving to super featherweight, he has had some success. In his most recent fight, he defeated Chris Colbert via a unanimous decision, and there is no announcement about his next fight.

7. Robson Conceição

Robson Conceição is a Brazilian professional boxer with an impressive record of 17 wins and only 1 loss. 

As an amatuer, Conceição won a gold medal in the 2016 Olympics. After moving to the professional ranks, he amassed an undefeated record of 16-0 before losing to Oscar Valdez in a title fight, with the WBC super featherweight title on the line. 

In his most recent fight, Conceição defeated Xavier Martinez via UD and there is no announcement about his next fight.

6. Kenichi Ogawa

  • IBF Super Featherweight Champion

Kenichi Ogawa is a talented fighter from Japan and has a record of 26 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw, and 1 no-contest. 

Ogawa is the current IBF super-featherweight world champion and won the title in his most recent fight against Azinga Fuzile. He also held the Japanese Super-Featherweight title from 2014 to 2017, defending it 5 times. 

There is no information about his next fight.

5. Jamel Herring

Jamel Herring is an American boxer, with an impressive record of 23 wins and 3 losses. He is currently ranked #3 by the Ring and #4 by BoxRec. 

Herring is the former WBO junior lightweight champion, and he defended his title three times, before losing it to Shakur Stevenson in his most recent fight. He won the title in 2019, after defeating Masayuki Ito. 

As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

4. Shavkat Rakhimov

Shavkat Rakhimov is a Tajikistani professional boxer, with an undefeated record of 16 wins, no losses, and 1 draw. 

Rakhimov has won multiple regional titles; however, in 2017, he won the vacant IBO super-featherweight world title after defeating Emanuel Lopez. He also fought Joseph Diaz for the vacant IBF super-featherweight title; however, the fight ended in a Draw.

In his most recent fight, he defeated Sardor Muzaffarov, and for now, there is no announcement regarding Rakhimov’s next fight.

3. Roger Gutierrez

Roger Gutierrez is a young Venezuelan boxer who has an impressive record of 26 wins and only 3 losses with 1 draw. Moreover, 20 of his victories came by way of knockout. 

He is the current WBA super-featherweight champion of the world and won the title after René Alvarado. In his most recent fight, he defended his title in a rematch against Alvarado and won via a unanimous decision. 

As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

2. Oscar Valdez

At number 2, we have Oscar Valdez, who is a Mexican professional boxer with a record of 30 wins and only 1 loss. 

Valdez has held world titles in two different weight classes. He is the former WBO featherweight champion, and until last weekend, he also held the unified WBC and The Ring super-featherweight titles. 

However, last weekend, he lost the title to Shakur Stevenson, in a very exciting fight, which went to the scorecards. Stevenson was able to dominate the fight for the most part and even landed a knockdown in the 6th round, which favored the decision for him. 

As of now, there is no information on who Valdez would fight next.

  • The Ring Super Featherweight Champion

At the top of our list, we have Shakur Stevenson from the USA. With an undefeated record of 18-0, the 24-year-old young star is also the current unified WBC, WBO, and The Ring super-featherweight champion of the world. 

Stevenson is also a former Featherweight world champion. He held multiple regional titles, and became the WBO featherweight champion as well, before moving to super-featherweight. 

Stevenson defeated Oscar Valdez last weekend to become the unified champion. Stevenson dominated Valdez, and in the 6th round, he even scored a flash knockdown as he caught Valdez while moving in. Stevenson won a unanimous decision after 12 rounds. There is no announcement about his next fight.
