The Featherweight division isn’t easy and so is ranking them. Therefore, here are the honorable mentions before moving on to the actual list.

Honorable Mention

Michael Conlan

Michael Conlan is a professional boxer from Ireland, with an undefeated professional record of 16 and 0. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics, and currently, he is the WBA interim Featherweight Champion.

Eduardo Ramirez

Eduardo Ramirez also deserves an honorable mention. He is from Mexico and has a professional record of  26 wins, 2 losses, 3 draws, and 1 no-contest. He is also the former WBA interim Featherweight Champion.

Top 10 Featherweight Boxers

10. Xu Can 

Xu Can is a professional boxer from China, and he has a professional record of 18 wins and 3 losses. 

Xu Can is the former WBA (Regular) Featherweight Champion, and he had the title since 2019, however, in his most recent fight, he lost the title to Leigh Wood. Xu Can has also held regional titles in 3 different weight classes. 

As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight. 

9. Leo Santa Cruz

Title(s):

  • WBA (Super) Featherweight World Champion

Leo Santa Cruz is a Mexican professional boxer with a record of 37 wins and 2 losses and 1 draw. 

Santa Cruz has been a world Champion in four different weight classes. He won the IBF bantamweight title in 2012 and defended 3 times before moving to super bantamweight, where he won the WBC super bantamweight title. He is also the former WBA (super) super-Featherweight and the current WBA (super) Featherweight Champion.

In his most recent fight, he lost to Gervonata Davis, and will  be fighting Keenan Carbajal on 5th february for his next fight. 

8. Tugstsogt Nyambayar

The next boxer on our list is from Mongolia, and he has a professional boxing record of 12 wins and 2 losses and 1 draw. 

Nyambayar is the former IBO Featherweight Champion. He won the title in 2019 after defeating Claudio Marrero. As an amateur, he also won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics. He also fought  Chris Colbert for the WBA interim super Featherweight title, but unfortunately, he lost via UD.

Last night he fought Sakaria Lukas. The fight ended in a Draw, and his next fight has not been announced yet. 

7. Kid Galahad

Kid Galahad is a very popular British professional boxer, and currently, he holds a record of 28 wins and 2 losses 

Most notably, He has held the European, British, and Commonwealth super-bantamweight titles between 2013 and 2015. He now fights at Featherweight where he became the IBF Featherweight world Champion after defeating Jazza Dickens.

In his most recent fight, he lost the title to Kiko Martínez and his next fight has not been announced yet. 

6. Leigh Wood

Title(s):

  • WBA (Regular) Featherweight World Champion

Leigh Wood makes it in our list at number 6. The British professional boxer has a record of 25 wins and 2 losses, and is also ranked as the 4th best active Featherweight by Box Rec. 

He is also the current WBA (Regular) Featherweight Champion and won the title after defeating Xu Can in his most recent fight. At the regional level, he also holds the British Featherweight title and previously held the Commonwealth Featherweight title in 2019 as well. 

He will be fighting Michael Conlan on 12th March to defend his title. 

5. Kiko Martínez

Title(s):

  • IBF Featherweight World Champion

At number 5, we have Kiko Martinez from Spain, a professional boxer with a record of 43 wins, 10 losses and 1 draw. 

Martinez has won world titles in two different divisions. He is a former IBF super-bantamweight Champion, and also currently holds the IBF Featherweight world title. He won the title in his last fight, after defeating Kid Galahad via TKO. 

For his next fight, he will be defending his title against Josh Warrington. The fight is scheduled for 26th March. 

4. Mark Magsayo

Title(s):

  • WBC Featherweight World Champion

Magsayo is a Filipino professional boxer with an undefeated professional record of 24 wins and no losses. 

Magsayo has multiple regional Championships under his belt. He is a 2-time WBO International Featherweight Champion and as of last night, is the new WBC Featherweight world Champion. He won the title last night, after defeating Gary Russul junior in a fairly close fight, via a majority decision. 

By the end of the fight, one judge had it as a draw whie two scored 115 to 113 in the favor of Magsayo.

3. Josh Warrington

Josh Warrington is an English professional boxer with a record of 30 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw.  

Warrington is the former IBF Featherweight Champion, and he held the title from 2018 to January of 2021. At the regional level, he also held the British, Commonwealth, European, and WBC International Featherweight titles. 

His last two fights were against Mauricio Lara, the first of which Warrington lost via TKO along with his title as well. The rematch was ruled as a draw when Lara cut from an accidental head clash. 

For his next fight he is going to face Kiko Martínez on 26th of March. 

2. Mauricio Lara

Mauricio Lara is a Mexican professional boxer with a record of 23 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw, and 1 no-contest. 

Lara is ranked as the number 1 active boxer by the TBRB and number 3 by the Ring. He is an exciting fighter and made it into the rankings after defeating Josh Warrington in his second-last fight. 

His most recent fight was a rematch against Warrington, which was ruled as a draw after Mauricio Lara was cut because of an accidental head clash. As of now, there is no official announcement about his next fight.

1. Emanuel Navarrete

Title(s):

  • WBO Featherweight World Champion

Emanuel Navarrete is a Mexican professional boxer with a record of 36 wins and no losses. 

He is a two-division world Champion. He formally held the WBO junior Featherweight title from 2018 to 2020, and he is the current WBO Featherweight Champion, having held the title since 2020. 

In his most recent fight, he defended his title for the second time defeating Joet Gonzalez via a Unanimous decision. His next fight has not been announced yet.
